I finally finished watching it, but I skipped episodes 10-14 because I didn't want to see Qing Feng sad. I never liked Ao Ran (like I said, I only saw the first 9 episodes with him, but I heard he gets better) but I absolutely ADORED He Tian Xing in the end. The ending was beautiful. If you had SLS like me, I recommend doing what I did and skipping over those few episodes, the ending still made sense without them. Overall, 8.5 out of 10 (it would be higher except my SLS nearly killed me).
The beginning of this series had SO much potential, but I think around episode 7 or 8 the second-lead syndrome kicked in and made it really heartbreaking to watch. I quit watching after episode 9 because I was rooting for SML and knew it wasn't going to end the way I wanted it to. I think the final episode comes out either this weekend or next weekend so you might want to wait until then to see what peoples' thoughts are on the ending.
I can't take it anymore, this is the first time I have had such a strong SLS. It breaks my heart and literally…
Me too, I had to stop watching after episode 9 because my SLS was making me too sad. Even though I started the show for Marcus, I really don’t see any chemistry between FL and ML. I’m desperately hoping that she’ll be with Qing Feng in the end so that I can finish watching!
I’ve loved this drama since the very beginning but I had to stop watching after episode 9 because the second lead syndrome is breaking my heart and I can’t bear to watch Qing Feng be sad
NEW THEORY TIME! I know this is probably getting to be a little far fetched, but I’m desperately clinging on to hope that my boy Qing Feng will get the ending he deserves, so I’m willing to become a crazy conspiracy theorist for him. Basically, as we see in the official poster for Lost Romance, there are two mirrored versions of nearly every character - for example, Marcus Chang. There are two of him on the poster, just like how he plays two distinctly DIFFERENT characters - Si Tu Ao Ran and He Tian Xing. This applies to every single mirrored character - two different versions of them exist, one in the real world and one in the romance novel world. However, the only two characters that are seen on the poster just once are Xiao En and Qing Feng. Additionally, in the cast list, most actors are listed as having two character names, but Simon Lian is only listed as Duan Mu Qing Feng, meaning that there most likely won’t be a second version of him in the real world that we just haven’t met yet. This leads me to believe that Xiao En and Qing Feng have the potential to end up together, because Qing Feng could possibly be another person in the real world trapped in the romance novel like Xiao En, only he doesn’t realize it yet.
Although Xiao En is the FL in “Lost Romance,” she’s technically the SFL in the romance novel/dream world, and since Qing Feng is the SML, I’m still crossing my fingers that they’ll end up together! Unfortunately I highly doubt that’ll be the case because of all of the Marcus Chang promo, but if Xiao En doesn’t end up with Qing Feng i’m going to be DEVASTATED :(
I have a theory about the end credit scenes in Lost Romance. If I’m correct, every time (if not, almost every time) we see Zheng Xiao En in the real world, she is always wearing a beret or hat of some sort. However, in the dream/fantasy/romance novel world, she has not worn a hat a single time. In the end credit montage, Zheng Xiao En is seen walking on the street with Marcus Chang’s character while once again wearing a beret, so she is presumably back in the real world with He Tian Xing rather than with Si Tu Ao Ran, so HOPEFULLY the end credits are hinting that the main leads will end up together in real life and have a happy ending!
