jin ji won is getting so annoying these days.. she doesn't do anything but cry or show puppy eyes and there's…
She does have a personality of her own. In my perspective, her defining trait is her passion and certainty with her dreams and principles, which is very admirable for me. Furthermore, she is very considerate of and observant to other people. And, she does not exactly keep crying like it's a random thing for her to do because there is always an apparent reason for her tears. Moreover, there are certainly times in people's lives when they are at their weakest and lowest and those times might just be occurring more often for them so there is nothing wrong with freely expressing their grief and Ji Won was already doing a good job by just hanging on and recovering from all of her frustrations.

rating a 0 because we didnt get a scene of youngjoo and kijoon babysitting hyunwoo
HAHAHAHA! This comment is so legendary! I would have loved to see that! Seriously though, it may be not that good because it did not have a solid plot as many have pointed out, but it was honestly enjoyable for me because of the romance, the theme of dreams, and the incorporation of carpentry (which, although is something I am bad at, is still something I appreciate as an art).

I wonder if we’ll have the main leads break up and a time skip like every other drama lol
To the writers and directors: Please don't!

I really like Jin Ji Won. She is a loyal friend, genuinely good person, good at her job, and don't create non-existent…
I agree on everything you have said and Jin Ji Won seems to be what a person should ideally be for me, but me I guess I fell for Kang Seo Young more because of her background. To be precise, I admire how realistic she is in the sense that she prioritizes herself which is how humans normally act. Additionally, I like her attitude towards life in how she is unshaken by the circumstances she is facing and keeps striving for her dreams. On the other hand, I am just curious on what you mean by Jin Ji Won's lack of history.

I saw a lot of clips of this on SNS. Do I have to watch the previous drama or can I just watch this one?
I realize that your question has been answered, but I would simply like to recommend School 2015 because it was a nice watch for me. It features the story of a girl who has given up on her life because of the tremendous cruelty she faced in her school, but is given another chance to see the beauty of life in kind people who love her and in the justice that always prevails for those who are in the righteous path. No pressure though!

You both have the right to your opinions, but, to be fair, I don't think the show is trying to add something new.…
I also like this series. In my opinion, almost every issue in the human society have already been presented anyway and they are all relevant and important regardless of the era. My ultimate favorite among the themes presented in this drama is the concept of dreams because they are a never-ending concern for everyone of all ages as they are what drive human beings to continue living in hopes of seeing greater things. Furthermore, I really like the romance among the characters.

I dont know why .I always like to ship the pair who were first to see each other as it shown in the drama when…
Personally, I tend to base it on the context (or simply whose romance was properly established), chemistry, and character attitudes. In this case, I really shipped Ki Joon and Ji Won as well as Young Joo and Seo Hyung.

I love that I saw your review because most of what I have seen are negative ones, and like you, I also enjoyed this drama.

On the other hand, I also agree that there were times that the drama was too dragging which made me stop at episode 12 and wait for the remaining episodes to finish airing for me to rewatch them all together. Personally, that helped me enjoy the drama better since I found the transition smoother as the impact of the episodes were kept consistent.

And, I also was favoring Nam Yoon Su's character at first due to the elaborate presentation of the context of how he fell for Lee Hwi in comparison to how Ji Woon developed his affection (which was quite shallow and unsubstantial for me because it was mostly brought by his infatuation in how he sees Lee Hwi as a woman). Moreover, I agree with your point regarding the side female love interests because, as you have said, they were not properly fleshed out, especially the queen, considering that her feelings developed out of her attraction to Lee Hwi. On the contrary, I did somehow sympathize with these love interests as the story progressed. Furthermore, I also love the cast and their characters, especially the three main leads, Eunuch Hong, Court Lady Kim, and Kang Eun-seo for the charismatic, humorous, and emotionally engaging dynamics they share.

Aside from that, my favorite part in this series is the romance which, although seemed to have insufficient context at first, was really entertaining. Out of all the leads' romantic scenes, my top picks would be those times wherein Vromance's "Hide and Seek" and theirs as well as Chaeyoon's versions of "Full of You" were played since they were the times where we get to see the couple's bubbly and exciting scenes.

Regarding the soundtracks, I was also instantly drawn to them and even when I stopped watching the drama for a while, I was still listening to them. Although I loved all of them, I just have to point out that "If I", "Hide and Seek", "Full of You", "Shadow of You", "No Goodbye in Love", and "Only You" particularly captured my ears and my heart's favor.

On another note, despite how I felt discouraged by the themes of politics for being too drawn out, I believe they were decently displayed in the drama. I specifically like how philosophy was injected in Lee Hwi's actions and realizations in serving the people.

More episodes would have been good to explain the story behind Aejin mom and why she treats her like that
Yes, based on what Ae Jin said to Ha Neul when they met in her mother's restaurant wherein Ha Neul was scared of being criticized for being poor.

This is just a theory:

I think Ae Jin had a sister and they were neglected by their mother (based on her stepdad's statement of hearing her say "unnie" in her sleep) and I believe their mother had been unfaithful to her biological father (or maybe her father simply passed away which led to her mother being cold and uncaring to her).

Personally, I have a lot of disagreements, but I'm going to only state some.

1. Firstly, I do not find Krystal's character as immature. From the start, Oh Kang Hee was someone who had well-defined aspirations which she was more than ready to work for and who was brave enough to exact justice on her own mother (although she mainly did so in order to protect her but still, caring for her mother is not in the least bit immature). She was also very understanding and supportive towards Kang Sun Ho which is a sign of the depth of her character's mentality and emotional growth.

2. Second, I think Jin Young delivered his character well. I just believe that his character's setup was someone who, as an orphaned boy who felt like he had to be considerate towards his adoptive family, was filled with uncertainties regarding his dreams and principles. Additionally, I felt that he has also provided the appropriate emotions demanded by each scene so maybe you can specify a particular instance where his acting seemed inadequate or off in order for the discussion to be clear and objective. Furthermore, I just have to say that the cast and the characters were all very engaging for me. The humor injected by Jun Wook and Bum Tae may be somewhat cliche but I was personally drawn to it or at least I found it tolerable.

3. Lastly, the most defining aspect that I think makes this drama great or at least decent is the inclusion of the theme of justice because that was the most consistent concept displayed throughout the series and I believe it was presented effectively.

On the other hand, I do understand that the main complication they had to face regarding the gambling platform was a bit dragged out, although it had no significant effect in my opinion of the drama.

On the other

It's interesting how different Ae Jin and Ha Neul treat their mothers. At this point it seems like Ha Neul which…
In my opinion, how Ha Neul hates her dad is similar to how Ae Jin hates her mom and I think the reason is that both of them feel like both their parents abandoned their other parents (Ha Neul's mom and Ae Jin's dad) since it was explicitly told that Ha Neul's father separated with her mom and it was sort of implied that Ae Jin's mom remarried (due to how her current father knows little of her). Additionally, I think something happened between Ae Jin and her mom in the past. Both are grey for me as well, but as someone who faced bullying, I can empathize more with Ae Jin. The pain that was inflicted upon her just hardened her heart towards her mom and made her distrustful and suspicious of everyone which is very understandable.

Love is love, guys. 🧡 But I was still laughing inside when Ji Woon's eyes bugged out when he came face to face…
From what we have seen so far, he must be avenging the previous crown prince's teacher. Additionally, his reaction when the crown prince was dethroned and his first attempt on his life suggest that he might have misunderstood the prince as a traitor to his master.

The kissing scene she did in liar in lover was pure awkwardness, Iike I legit cringed/ got uncomfortable when…
It was her first acting role so can you cut her some slack? It was also a kiss between a teenage girl and an adult so of course there would be awkwardness. I have no problem with it personally though and that is nothing but a fraction of acting; her acting skill and potential is not defined and concluded by that.

People who hate on Joy's acting fail to consider other factors. For one, her roles were stereotypical and repetitive as she had to portray characters who are too naive in love and are too understanding and forgiving to their partner. Furthermore, I believe she has done fairly well as she delivered her roles properly. She did seem like an innocent and naive girl in The Liar and His Lover and she also was the same in Tempted except that her role there was more intelligent, braver, and more independent. Can those who do not like her acting please specify what specific things you dislike?

I of course don't condone bullying, but honestly, what about everyone else in this production . It's being halted…
My thoughts exactly. If the bullying happened during their middle school, there would be no point in speaking out now. They should have reported it at that time or earlier through proper channels. This just seems like an attempt to ruin someone's career at the expense of others' as well.
