On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 2 Oct 22, 2022
I don't watch many c-dramas, especially historical ones, but one of my students highly recommended this one. I absolutely loved it! However, I have TWO questions~

1. The ML always had the main two from his group, but during the five-year gap, one was never seen. Then he came back out of nowhere. Did I miss the part where they explained where he was? Before that, we saw him protecting the ML before he jumped off the edge, so I thought he died back at the house. Where was he??

2. Didn't the FL have another older brother? From my understanding, the ones that we meet are the second and third brothers, and I think they mention the first brother once or twice, and he's never mentioned again. Am I crazy? I just thought that it was weird that she never got to meet him.

I've read the novel and at the end, I was just... I didn't know what to do with my life. So, I'll wait until the drama is finished to start it.

Where to start? First of all, I LOVE the webtoon. I've read it a few times and bought all the limited edition, even if I can't read any Korean.

So, when they first announced this drama, I was super excited! I thought the webtoon was finished, so they can't mess this up! *sigh*
When the cast was announced, I was a bit disappointed. I didn't know who Ahn Hyo Seop was, and he didn't seem to fit as Kang Tae Moo from the webtoon. Don't get me wrong, he's cute, but Kang Tae Moon is written and drawn as a MAN, a very hot one. Ahn Hyo Seop is boyish cute, not manly cute. As for Kim Se Jeong, I didn't know who she was either, but she seemed fine as Hari.

There were a few things I liked and disliked about the K-drama.
One of the things I liked was that some characters were more likable. For example, Jin Young Seo and Lee Min Woo. There were times when Jin Young Seo was annoying in the webtoon, but I felt that she was a better friend in the K-drama. Lee Min Woo was WAY more likable in the drama; we all hated his guts in the webtoon. He's more developed and less of a piece of sh*t.
Another thing was that Shin Ha Min wasn't so hanged up on Jin Young Seo. I always felt sorry for him in the webtoon, so seeing him behave more like a student throughout the drama made me happy. The extra characters were an excellent fit and were funny.

Some things I didn't like were... *sigh* the writers just had to add a tragic backstory. Kang Tae Moo was a perfect character who was a hard worker. The writers added too much drama to... well, the drama. I get it, but the webtoon was fine as it was. There were some misunderstandings and drama initially, but we moved passed it. I don't understand why Jin Young Seo's relationship with her father ended the way it did. They ended up on good terms in the webtoon, and he was excited to be a grandfather. BTW, Kang Tae Moo's grandfather was just... OMG! He was such a fanboy in the webtoon, and he was very supportive. In the drama, he's just annoying. He's funny but annoying. He was so against their relationship that I just wanted to slap him.

Overall, it was an enjoyable drama if we don't compare it to the webtoon. They made it as K-dramay as possible. However, if they left it exactly as the webtoon, I would've been happy.

Also, couldn't they end it with their wedding? Or make it a little longer to fit the weddings in?

Sorry for my rant.

I was really excited for this drama (it seems like a lot of the manhwas I like to read) but everyone in the comments seems to be complaining about MangoTV. I'm not too familiar with it, should I be worried?? I mostly see K-dramas, so should I give up on this drama now?

I don't know what the hell I just watched. The musical aspect was totally unnecessary and I couldn't wait for it to end. Obviously the director and writers didn't understand the characters. I hated how they portrayed Nifuji Hirotaka. I wouldn't watch this again. *sigh* and I was so excited to see it.

in the ending song and the very last scene. There is a photo of the leads with their child so I don't think so
Saw it carefully and I was wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked Kim Tae Hwan in the first season, but I'm totally loving Mike in this role. True, it's very different, but I like it better this way. I feel that Mike's character is much more entertaining to watch and less frustrating. I would've still seen this second season if Kim Tae Hwan was back to his old role, but I really like this change.

No, the last scene was of Tian Jing Zhi dreaming about the baby, so it's not something that will happen in the future.

I think Ye Mexiao is secretly a mutant who knew Yunzhen from a long time ago and the latter doesn't remember her...
She's really smart, so she must know that something is up, but I wonder why she was being followed.

I loved it, it was really cute. I would have just liked to find out how he got a hold of all of the items that she made and would have loved to see how everyone else relationships turned out in the big reunion at the end.
