i'm glad you enjoyed the review! it was written in a haze after watching the finale for the first time, i needed some way to express even a tiny bit of what i was feeling.
one of the things i love the very most about this drama is how it focuses on the characters’ individual, personal struggles. they’re all so unique and powerful. upon rewatch all of the points you mention—philosophical, theological, spiritual—only become more profound; the narrative is incredibly layered, and rewards multiple viewings. (i am currently 2/3 of the way through my FOURTH watch and still picking up so many new themes/details/etc!)
i had the same experience with this drama at first, too! the initial episodes are super confusing, but somewhere along the way you suddenly find yourself completely immersed. it’s wonderful!
