I WANTED TO PUNCH HER SOOO BAD....

It's just me that I found the FL annoying, unbearable, and extremely hard to watch?
She is sooooooooooooooo annoying that it almost ruined the whole show for me.
It has good aspects and bad as well but because of her, I wanted to punch her every episode. The lying and the stupid actions made me soooooo angry... right right I get it, she did that to protect him, but even when it wasn't needed anymore, she still tried to act as a stupid and ridiculous little girl...
Anyways, he's perfect! That alone its enough to watch the show hahaha.

I'M COMPLETELY IN LOVE

Even though the FL is 30 something and acts like a 12 year-old baby girl, I am addicted by the ML. He's everything a girl could experience in a true love drama story. Its like u can really feel his love for her. The actor obviously is charming, captivating and made everything possible for this show to work. Without him I dont even know if it would be possible to be made ahhahaha (yeah I really like Chae)
Is the drama cliché? DEFINITELY, but he makes it everything look amazing and just like a dream ahhahaha.
The actors were good as well and had good chemistry, I totally recommend this!

Kinda disappointed

What got me really angry was that I felt deceived by the writers, directors and producers or whomever gave life to this show... they used us, BL fans as bait to completely overshadow the main couple SOOOO much that it felt almost the whole series if they were the second couple and the main characters were the straight couple... It was almost 10 hours of stupid miscommunication and the straight couple trying to be together... I understand that kissing in high school is inappropriate let alone sleeping together is very uncommon in Asian series... different from western ones but the ending felt rushed, without a pace and with a bitter taste just because the main couple got to be together... I honestly didn't like it. The acting was actually pretty convincing and solid but I'm extremely disappointed...

CHARACTER (FL) ANNOYING

I dont even know where to begin... MASSIVE GREEN FLAG, SO GREEN THAT IT FEELS UNREAL! Even though I love the actress, the FL character annoyed me sooooooooo much! She's stupid, childish, makes the wrong questions ALL THE TIME, inconvenient and not smart at all!
I have lots to say regarding her... how come she is not willing to kiss him (on the wedding photo's day) which was a remote area but in the middle of the street, full of ppl she's ok with it? I understand her insecurities because of her age, but shes 22 not 12. She doesn't have a life goal, any wishes or accomplishments that supports his strong male behavior. The main male character is patient but too patient for me. Shes just a shadow behing him...
Lets talk about the Drama having 33 episodes that could be done in 10! Why sooooo long?! Sometimes it felt that i was watching the same episode twice..
The secondary character, acts like a child and he's the oldest, it doesnt make sense...
If I had to say... WATCH THE 6 PRIMARY EPISODES AND THE LAST 2.

What I expected...

When I started watching Soul Mate by asking from ppl I know and comments, I was really excited, I expected an emotional and meaningful story about love, healing, and connection. But honestly, it just felt like the show kept adding sad things only to make people cry. There was suicide, illness, grief, loneliness, abandonment, death — one tragedy after another. After some time, it stopped feeling emotional and just felt forced.

My biggest problem with the show was the relationship between Ryu and Yohan. The way the series was promoted made me expect a romance or at least a deep emotional love story, but their relationship never really developed. There were barely any romantic moments (I understand it was a very discreet and non verbal love wt no intimacy, and not much emotional payoff, but their barely had a sentimental HUG when needed). The show kept calling them “soulmates,” but I personally never felt that strong connection between them. They barely talked
one - a - one. Honestly, sometimes Ryu seemed closer to Sumiko than to Yohan, which made the main relationship even harder to believe (Considering they were Soul Mates for real).

Another thing that bothered me was the writing. A lot of the dialogue sounded unnatural and too slow. Big emotional moments happened, but I didn’t feel connected to the characters enough to really care. Some serious storylines, especially the suicide attempt and grief, were handled too quickly and didn’t feel realistic. Instead of feeling emotional, I mostly felt distant from the characters.

The pacing and editing were also confusing. The story jumped around so much that sometimes I couldn’t tell how much time had passed or how the characters were supposed to feel. In the second half especially, the series started to feel messy and unfocused.

The acting was probably the best part. The actors did a really good job with the script they were given, and some emotional scenes worked because of their performances. The cinematography and music were also nice, although sometimes the music felt too dramatic, like the show was trying too hard to make viewers emotional.

What disappointed me the most was how the series focused so much on queer suffering without giving enough happy or warm moments in return. Every time something hopeful happened, another tragedy came right after it. By the end, I wasn’t heartbroken — I was just tired.
When Yohan is about to get seriously sick and Ryu goes to him to be wt him in his "final moments", that alone was supposed to have crushed RYU'S feelings ONCE HE WAS HIS SOUL MATE, but to my surprise she had hidden from him that his supposedly ex- partner was dying and he accepted almost instantly.

Overall, Soul Mate had a good idea and strong actors, but for me it became an overly depressing story that confused sadness with emotional depth.
NOTE**** They completely forgot about Arata. Who almost got handicapped and never to be heard of him again (?)

Entertainment with no Chemistry

Okay... I know I am late but still, lemme put some ideas here first.

The plot?! The typical CEO, super duper rich falls in love with the poor and hard-working guy with a natural talent for cooking...
The support cast and their characters, fun and cute....
That, they nailed it... u cant make a mistake on a super simple plot.
My problem with this series was the chemistry between the main leads.
The secondary couple had more chemistry than the main one by far!

Poon, the hard-working guy, had no reaction (I mean physically) to the scenes with Tian (the ceo hot guy)...
Always grumpy and with no chemistry at all! And for that it kinda ruined the show for me...

THIS IS REALLY, REALLY BAD!

I dont even know where to begin... the actors, the script, the whole serie is really bad.
No chemistry btw the main characters, no plot...
I'm considering myself a fighter for being able to finish this.
Please, dont waste your time.

If u have nothing better to do... I still wouldn't recommend it.

IT WOULD BE A 10 IF...

IF... The FL HADN'T CHANGED the last 3 episodes to "b^%$" mode...
I get it. Women's empowerment! Totally agree, but she was treating him so badly for no reason that she made me wish for their break up in the end. I got so mad at Her. I know he was also overprotective towards her and couldnt see her potential... but I got really frustrated with her.

IT'S OVER AND I'M SO CONFUSED

First things first, what did I just watch?! Was this supposed to be an END?! WHERE'S HIS EVIL MOTHER? WHERE IS HIS FIANCÉ STORY? WHERE IS THE PSYCHOPATH COUPLE ENDING AT?
I know u are all shocked with those scenes from Ep.5,
Yeh, unpleasant to watch? Yes...
But there are couples that enjoy that kinda thing (who am I to judge tho) ahahahhahaha Having watched Kinnporsche and Playboyy, I kinda understood why this hate/obsession took place
...
But that ending... THAT ending is just plainly awful...
About the acting... Unfortunately the main couple couldn't cry in the scenes that it was the most harmful to the characters. I wanted to punch my screen yelling, CRY DUDE. JUST CRY....
Still havent understood why the stupid cheating happened... he doesn't even give a worthwhile reason or justification for that action... it was just stupidity... The forgiveness? The cliché "I'm sick because I regreted out in the cold the whole days "

Can someone please, enlighten me if we are having 2nd season soon... (obviously we have to, but just to be sure).

Prepared yourselves before starting...

OVERLY HIPPED

Ok... that's what you get when you put the two straightest main lead actors to form a couple.
I saw no sweetness btw them at all... besides of them patting their heads...
I'M NOT SAYING NC SCENES (even because I'm not much of a big fan of those either)... Im saying love gestures, there were barely any contact btw them but mostly... when it happened it was extremely uncomfortable...

Surprisingly Good

There's no complexity in the story, or bigger plannings but its soooo good.

I caught myself smiling as if it was me living those scenes... or wishing to be there... its charming and a massive green flag...

Lots of kissing but I dont see a dirty mind on them... its a genuine love story with lots of side couples that are so cute as the main...
