I loved the Japanese version, but the choice of the actors for Tsuge and Minato for me was wrong, or they dressed them up bad. In reality, the two actors have a few years of difference, while in the drama, Tsuge looks 40 and Minato looks 16. I wouldn't say I liked that part.

I agree with you in everything except F4; they did erase the original Taiwanese, while all the other versions didn't. I'm sorry for the guys playing the F4 in this version, starting from Bright and Win, that they got this script. In 20 years, people will still remember all the versions except for this one, they destroyed the script for me, plus they chose a female main character that is constantly crying or sad. Boys over flowers was a comedy; if they wanted to do a "dark" version, they could pick up any other script around or not call it F4. Sorry, I'm a massive fan of the first version; some people grow up with that; all my classmates hated F4, and all people that watched the first Meteor Garden not two years ago but grew up with it.

i'm from a western country and I live in Asia for 15 years, i guess i know a couple of things about both mentalities. Also, I prefer to take information from articles from journalists, not from a tweet, above all when it comes to such a delicate topic. Said so, here we are not talking about views, here we are talking about a gay person that feels offended by the way thai (and only thai) portray the image of a gay man. We are not discussing about the difference between LGBTQ and BL here, we are talking about a specific situation that happens 90% of the time with Thai Bl that can be extremely offensive for LGTBQ community. Let me make you another sample that doesn't involve the LGBTQ community but show you the point of cliche and how offensive they can be. At the beginning of KP there is a mafia person coming from Sicily, do you have any idea how many people were offended by that terrible representation of a sicilian person? Now I show you the opposite situation. In western countries in each movie and tv show they try to pay attention to be politically correct, to avoid offending other races or nationalities etc. So tell me why in Thailand they can be not polically correct towards gay people and sicilian people for example and it's ok and we need to understand the different mentality but if in other countries they do the same against thai people, then they get offended. Last point. I live in China. China is in Asia too. No one in China, even when BL was allowed, haw ever portrayed a bottom as a female and/or change the character from a strong person to a weak person when he fells in love with another guy. This is not an asian thing, this is a thai thing, the same as when there is a transgender in a drama they almost always dress up them or let them act like they are clowns. Is this Asia for you? No, this is not. Take a look at Taiwan BLs, a country in which the same gender marriage is legal, do they portray gays like they are girls? No, they don't.

my brother is gay, he feels so bad everytime he sees all those thai BL, he feels they make gay as a cliche, and this is why i always comment about this issue of having the bottom acting girlish. I started to watch some BL with my brother and his boyfriend and they found a lot of those Thai BL very insulting for the LGBTQ community as they portray 90% of the time the bottom of a gay couple as a "girl". my comment is not homophobic, they should really stop making all the bottom gay characters in this way. There are obviously guys that are more girlish but they portray all the bottoms, as girlish, or they let them change completely and act like girls in the moment they fell in love with a guy.

because he is only able to cry, i'm not able to see any other emotion during the whole series, he cries the whole time and also when he is happy he always has the same sad face expression. in italy there is an actress that is the same like him, they let her do only sad movies as she is not able to do any other kind of movies as in any case also when she wants to express joy she seems like she is about to cry.
