Telling you about Japan, China and Korea are not related to their technology but how they treat people over 30. In China, as I mentioned in another comment, a woman over 28 is called a "leftover woman." This scene is a mockery because I live every day in this situation; they spent the first three episodes telling the viewers that this guy is old, while he is not even 40 years old, and to make it worst, they make him not able to understand he has three emails and he has to switch among them. He has the typical phone cover used by older adults in China, Japan, and Asia; people who have this cover here are usually over 60. Everything they are doing in this show is to tell people he is old, so yes, the email was a mockery, and I'm telling you in a very personal way because I'm 35, and I live this horrible cultural issue in those three countries every day from 12 years.

I understand your point, and it's not that I lost the part on the phone switching, but I'm a european living in Asia for 12 years, so I know exactly what they were doing, because this is exactly the daily life of people over 30, they treat you like old shoe, in China there is also an exact term for women over 28 that are not married, they are called "left over women", do you find it funny? I don't. And seeing the way they just showed something they daily remind to every person over 30 is not funny, it's a cultural issue they have in Asia, becuase for me it's an issue, and they play with it, considering it's typical of the asian culture, i'm middle 30 and i tell you that i can use every kind of technology better than my assistant that is 20.

I live in Asia but I'm european, I wrote the comment because I feel bad everyday about it, because Asia it's exactly like that, treating people over 30 like they are 60, i didn't find it funny at all, maybe because I live this everyday.

I live in Asia and i'm middle 30s and trust me, for me this is not funny at all, if you live here you feel what i wrote everyday in every second of your life. I luckily look younger, so i never mention my age, people think i'm middle 20s, but then i listen to some conversation about people over 30 and i feel so bad, like the life stop after you are 30...

fair enough when you say people also in mid-twenties have this issue, the problem is that they show it as it's a problem because "he is old"

Although I like this show, I find it incredibly offensive that they give the main lead the characteristic of a 90-year-old person. He cannot check the email; he writes on the phone as my grandmother does; it's offensive. Once again, Japan is telling all of us, like many other countries in Asia, that after 35 years old, you are an old shoe. It's 2022. They should have learned at this point that age doesn't matter; plus, the guy is 39 years old... how is it possible he doesn't know how to use the emails? Come on... this is culturally so so bad. It's like going back 30 years ago...

thanks, at least i got a comment on why someone is finding it good, as I'm seriously trying to understand the opinions of people that are not just "OMG" "amazing" but like a real opinion, good or bad, and you at least gave a part of it, thanks.

You probably didn't read the rest I wrote, I don't see any comments in here that explain me why is good. this is why i said i was looking for an honest and critical opinion. Did you take a look at the comment? did you see anyone actually comment the episode? "awesome" "OMG" those are the comments.., I'm not accusing everyone that has another opinion I just seriously don't see anyone expressing an opinion!

I didn't say it is a bad production, I stated clearly, do you think was a good first episode? so I was clear on that, I was talking about the first episode that got me incredibly disappointed, and it got me disappointed in the comments because I didn't see anyone make a real comment about this episode. why do you find it good? why do you find it bad? The majority of the people are commenting here like it's a masterpiece and I don't understand why, and I don't understand that also because no one is explaining it, it's just a bunch of "I love it" ad Bla Bla Bla, that brings me back to the point that looks like everybody is commenting in a positive way just because we were expecting this drama for so long. Otherwise can someone please explain to me why this episode was good? And as you can see a part from your comment and another one also the other comments I received to my opinion are empty, with no meaning.

I agree with you, and I absolutely respect that, I just was hoping to find an honest and critical opinion instead of just "OMG" etc. someone that can explain why do you think is good? or why do you think is bad? like a real critical opinion, I may have expressed myself not clearly enough in my previous post, but i was so disappointed by the episode and this is why maybe I didn't express myself clearly. Can someone that is talking so good about this episode tell me why they think this episode is good?

I'm reading the comments and I don't understand. I know we were all waiting for this drama to come but did you really think this first episode was good? Mile is seriously bad as an actor, they started the episode with the cliche "Sicilian people are mafia". Have you ever seen a criminal so important as Kinn suppose to be going around just with 1 bodyguard and escape by feet? And what about the shooting? everybody was dying and Kinn and the bodyguard escaped basically every shot, Kinn managed to escape also from 5 people surrounding him and one was with a knife! And then in the bar Porsche fought against everyone but then against Kinn he was beaten as hell. Do you guys really think this first episode was good? And the inhaler advertising part? Oh jeez. I had so much expectation about this drama and I was so so disappointed, and I usually read to all the comments that I find on MDL because usually, people here are always on the top of the game when it comes to drama and all the comments are a real and critical opinion, but from the comments, I'm seeing now it's just "it was so cool", just because we were expecting the drama? it was bad, like seriously bad, from the acting to the production. I would be happy to see an honest and critical opinion here,

I'm in Shanghai and, trust me, your friend is not into BL, everybody was talking about it inside Weibo and the official account of the series was top-notch for days. If your friend likes BL he/she should have known, I'm not even Chinese and I knew, everybody in China knew. it's years that dramas (like comedies etc.) don't air in national television in China because only long dramas for old people airs on television, the rest is on iqiyi etc. and they are not tv, they are web tv. Young people in China rarely watch television, so even before the ban the national tv was not considered in any case not because it was a BL but because no one would have watched it. The choice for the majority of the dramas are always webtv, rarely, same for talent show etc.
