Memory loss kills it all. Why? Because I will still at least START watching them with the problems above. But if I even read "memory loss" in the synopsis, I am like "so outta here". Second worst is weak female lead, of course.
Seriously, this is enjoyable. It is not a real drama and it makes lighthearted fun of itself and its actors. Love this, it is just sth to smirk about. :)
This is too much for me. Too many attractive actors put into one funny-romance drama. I cannot stop giggling like a high school girl (and I am so NOT a fan-girl type of woman). I think their combined appearance just fried my brain....... (ᅌᴗᅌ* )
Watched the first episode. Jeez. It is not bad, but sure as hell not in one league with Nirvana in Fire. Too much overly dramatic music in the background, over-all to rushed, the directing, too. And what is up with the weird colours? The wigs and costumes are only average standard for C-dramas. And the make-up is just really bad sometimes. E.g. the one close-up shot of the princess' grandmother when they run - I mean seriously, it looks like a make-up job done by an average teenager. And they used exactly the same of skin-tone-make-up for all actors, which really good productions wouldn't do. I could go on and on about the technical details, the cuts, the camera etc. And the actor playing the evil prince just doesn't sell it to me, there is absolutely no malice in him, and this awful laugh when he killed this one scribe and turned - it made me feel like a drama for kids. The only thing that still got a chance in my opinion is the plot. Since not much has happened so far I still hope for a great development, although I am sceptical about that by now. I give it 4 more episodes then I will drop it if it doesn't deliver. Oh, and of course, I can only marvel at ppl hyping this. So far. Maybe it will turn around. Cheerio.
I knew it was going to be tragic in the end, and although I usually never cry whilst watching dramas, this ending got to me, too.... Poor So, to live with this regret - but oh my Gosh, a freaking misunderstanding over stupid handwriting on letters??!! (doesn't spoil anything)-- the directors really pushed hard for tears here
I am sorry, but I do not find this drama realistic/convincing/emotional/clever at all. (And seriously, there is SO much overly dramatic backgroundmusic going on ALL the time, that it adds to a kind of rushed and artificial setting/feeling.) Not liking this at all, although I loved the actor in Healer (he doesn't sell the hardcore mercinary here). Continueing to watch just for a fair and not pre-matured rating. Sigh.
Until episode 22 or so it was really great, having nice twists etc. because they withheld information from the viewers. Hoever, after that it all became quite tiresome. The plot pattern is repeating, there are misunderstandings (which I hate), the whole merchant situation is boring and you just wait and wait and wait for the crucial information about Ok Knyeo to get to the king (which it still has not done, sigh). It would have been a superb drama, if it was 30 instead of 50 episodes....
practically none. there is supposed to be a couple, but really, there are no romantic moments whatsoever and they are a lot more like brother and sister, or just cousins. So no.
Watched ep. 18. Oh common, she waited for him like forever, she promised she wouldn't leave his side, she even accepted that he got married, and now, just because he fairly judged a traitor/spy (CR did after all poison the king), she just throws it away? Doesn't hit me as realistic or consistent. Big eye-rolling moment for me, kinda destroyed the flow of the story. Now I can practically see where this will lead... what a shame.
