This drama surprised me. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did. The story is really not that bad with the evil vampire in the background and the suffering self-despising hero (although the plot gets a bit all-over-the-place sometimes). However, for me it was all about the leading male and female roles. They were perfect! The girl is so cute and natural, it feels like a fresh breeze watching her. And then this grumpy vampire who is so severe. They make an unusual but sweet couple. The OST was phenomenal! Every song just brilliant and what a great, stylish and catchy intro! That being said, there were some flaws. I really did not care for the actor of Gwi, I found he potrayed the evil vampire very cliché. Even worse: After such endeering first dozen episodes or so, the plot made a turn for the worse. It departed completely from the humour and lighthearteness which it held before, and presents from this point on practically just tragedy after tragedy. It kind of switches the genre mid-drama, or so it feels. Still, you want to know how they will go about the destruction of Gwi and of course what will become of our dear couple. But then... the final episodes were almost a complete letdown for me: It came all just as about as you expect it to do. Nothing unpredictable, nothing special, nothing really emotional. The best thing to be said is Gwi's reaction to the death of XXX (spoiler). Besides that the ending was very disappointing to me, both in storyline and camera directing. Just blah. Altogether it stays a good drama just because the first half was so entertaining and the main actors were adorable.
