Title Good Boy
No major spoiler. I really respect PBG to have the courage to play the role of Dong Ju. I can see PBG really wants…
Forgot to mention the poem that symbolize the meaning of Dong Ju's name. I saw someone post the English version somewhere but can't find it. It was a very moving poem. I can see the message the writer and PBG try to convey to the audience. In a world like this right now, again, I really respect them for making this drama.

No major spoiler.

I really respect PBG to have the courage to play the role of Dong Ju. I can see PBG really wants to challenge himself!! From the past 4 episodes that I have watched, this is not an easy main character to play. Even though Dong Ju is the main character, he is very untraditional. He acts before he thinks, he is not as calm and as smart (in my opinion Dong Ju has a loooot of street smart) as the role that Lee Sangyi plays. He uses tricks to get the chance to be with Han na, lost the fight with Lee Sangyi, and acts childish in many scenes. This kind of role can easily be disliked by many audience.

But……….I have to say I REALLY LOVE DONG JU! I think PBG did a great job. Even though Dong Ju has so many problems as I listed above, somehow the writer and PBG made him really lovable at the same time. He is so kind, and he works super hard too. You just can’t really be mad at him…. On the contrary you really want to support him. And PBG’s acting skills completely overwhelmed me. Seriously, is this really PBG???!! He is such a good actor. I especially love many minor small facial expressions he made, sooooo amazing. The ending part of ep4 is crazy - Dong Ju is crazy, and PBG’s acting is crazily amazing haha.

So far I enjoy the show a lot, I like ep4 the best, but ep1 & 3 in my opinion is also pretty good. I expect Dong Ju will change along the way, become more mature, and probably will become good friend with Lee Sangyi’s character (i am really looking forward to that). The romance part – even though some people don’t like it, I myself found it actually very good. If you count the time of romance from ep1 to ep4, it is not much (in fact, super short). But somehow every second of romance scene is effective haha. The audience can feel the strong affection Dong Ju has toward Han na and eager to see how the relationship will evolve. The chemistry between Dong Ju and Han na is better than a lot of romance drama. I have to say the writer and director is super clever and did a great job dealing with the romance part.

Overall, I guess this is my cup of tea. Even though PBG is one of my favorite Korean actors, not every drama he played is my tea… (I don’t really enjoy boy friend or youth record that much….)

I am happy for PBG too. The audience get to see so many different aspects of him. I can see why PBG choose this script. It matches with the message he tries to send to his fans. For that I truly respect him. And Dong Ju is just so lovable! I think if you let me choose among the roles PBG plays, I would choose to be friends with Dong Ju ^^
