I am a fan of Viki on Facebook, which half the time I am convinced is a horrible idea cause it usually posts about airing shows that I am trying to forget about. But sometimes, they talk about shows that are older and I find stuff I wouldn't have otherwise. So I come here to look it up and everyone and their mama is saying how amazing it is and how it's the best tdrama EVER! I'm ridiculously excited at this point, thinking I must share it with you!! But I check your list and see you've already seen it and rated if a 5 :( so now I've told this ridiculously long story just to ask what you didn't like about My Lucky Star since I trust your opinion a million times more than the anonymous lovers of it!

The bottom right picture on the case is from I Hear Your Voice. And I suppose is spoilery if anyone else looks at from your wall, my bad! Luckily, I already told you I got the ending I wanted so you knew. I didn't even think about that when I shared it with a friend who hasn't watched IHYV yet! Hopefully she won't recognize them :p I got it from vistaprint and they were 14 each! I didn't see android options on there, but the friends I shared them with said that she was going to order some for her android so I'll find out where she went!
We are both selfish beings, cause I thought the same thing! His son definitely needs to be charged and justice needs to be had for the girl he hurt, but I really don't want it to hurt his career, cause I desperately need more of him in my drama life :p

FB seems to have some pretty mixed reviews! I am bummed you didn't love it, though it's better than absolutely hating it, I guess! I think I'd mostly want to watch it for some better kisses! Though, I don't know if anything can beat the first kiss in YB when they are arguing and he surprises the shit out of himself by kissing her. One of my favorite moments :)
Nine is....good. It's really hard to figure out what I really feel about it. It's definitely not bad, but I just didn't love it like the rest of the world did. There were just too many comparisons to Queen In Hyun's Man since it by the same people, but it was nothing like QIHM at all! I mean, seriously, other than the time travel, they were as different as night and day. And I remember the writers saying that it had an even better love story than QIHM and that is just not true at all. The entire show was just melodrama, whereas QIHM was mostly romantic with melo thrown in. Not to mention, the ending didn't really offer the closure I would have liked to see, though it definitely wasn't a bad ending. It just disappointed on a lot of levels, and I think I might have enjoyed it more if no one ever mentioned it and QIHM in the same breath!
Bahaha, ok apparently I have some unresolved issues for that drama :p

I'm watching Just You as my other airing Tdrama. It was actually the first tdrama I was ever able to watch a whole episode of, and it was entirely by accident :p I was just going to watch a few minutes of it to solidify my distate for Tdramas and ended up getting hooked ;p
You really don't think he looks like Rain? It's not all of the time, just occasionally if he turns his head just right :p I liked Full House, but I agree Rain was not that great in it! I've never really understood just how massively popular he became. There are way better actors out there!!
I can't decide on my feelings about TOP. I would watch Skip Beat with him in it if it were ever made, but there is something about his face that just bugs me. His eyebrows maybe? Or the dumb facial expressions he makes? I dunno, but it's something I just can't get over about him :p
Hahahaha, I never put it together either!! I always thought it was weird to call people that because of the same reason! Man, do I feel lame :p And the glue stick comparison is apt! It was supposed to just be for the face. The jerk at Target didn't give us all of our bags, so the sunscreen we bought didn't make it with us, and we were in such a small town, we would have had to drive a good 20 minutes to get to the nearest store to buy some. So my mom whipped out her face sunscreen and we tried to make it work. Needless to say, I am covered in stripes :p
I was just rewatching You're Beautiful when I was up in Oregon! It's definitely worth rewatching, I've seen it several times over! Logically, I know there are better dramas out there, but there is something so innately satisfying about Go Mi Nam and Tae Kyung's relationship.

So, I was looking for why we hadn't seen Dokko Jin in any dramas since The Greatest Love (though he has done two movies!) and came across this: "On August 3, 2013, Cha posted a public apology on his Me2day account after his son Cha No-ah was charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl." Makes me sad :(
I love Kim Tae Hee! Nothing broke my heart more than to see her 2013 drama is a historical :p I keep wondering if I will ever watch Iris just because of her, but I think I'll wait til you finish it before I even really consider it :p Poseidon is definitely staying on my PTW list, though I am sad the romance isn't all that great :(
I had started the first episode while I Was at the lake over the weekend, and I have already seen half of the first episode! No idea when that would have happened, but it was so weird! Maybe when I was trying to find a Tdrama to catch my attention ages ago, I had started it? Anywho, the lead looks a lot like Rain to me!
That's a bummer that it doesn't seem like the K version of Skip Beat will be anything like the manga if it ever does get made! I wonder if it will suffer the same fate as Absolute Boyfriend. I was so stoked for that one because it sounds cute, but I won't watch the TDrama version because Jan Di is in it and I don't think I like her very much, and because they dubbed her and I hate dubbing in dramas! Drives me up a freaking wall.
I got back from the lake with my parents yesterday. It was a lot of fun! I have the world's funkiest sunburn though. All we had was this stick sunscreen, so I have all of these streaks everywhere, it's hilarious. Til my bra touches one of the streaks and I want to die :p I don't know how I can keep watching Missing You, cause it still makes me cry, but I can't seem to stop wanting to watch it. Their story just blows me away every time! Though, I never, ever rewatch it from the beginning. The rape and death in the first few episodes is too hard for me, I can't do it!
I see you are starting Nine! I hope you have better luck with it than I did! I don't know why, but it just wasn't for me :(

MDL is being so stupid about notifications! I only got the notification about PrettyCarEye's comment, so I didn't notice your comments!
I will let you know once Love Around is over if the ending is as good as the rest has been. I keep waiting for the new episode to be up, I so hate waiting each week for new episodes, torture! I'm watching another airing tdrama right now that is less addicting, but still really hard to wait for new episodes. Patience is not my strong suit!!
The words evil Dokko Jin put a bad taste in my mouth! It's just not right!! He has been typecast in our heads, and it's just impossible to see him as anything else :p I remember a movie I watched where he accidentally had sex with some dude's wife and then is murdered and it was just the weirdest experience ever for me.
I refuse to do main character deaths, no matter how logically done. I can see how knowing about it going in my help soften the blow, but there are just too many other dramas out there that don't have people I've fallen in love with for over 20 hours dying at the end :p Though, I mean, seriously, Missing You is so ridiculously sad, yet I can watch it over and over again. I think it's the prior knowledge that just makes it so unacceptable to me. Like in City Hunter, the prosecutor's death was heartbreaking and fairly pointless, and even though I cried, it didn't make me regret watching it. The same for Eun Si Kyung's character in King2Hearts. Horrifyingly awful and sad, but I don't regret watching it for one minute. It's kind of a logical disparity on my part. I can see that it hasn't killed me in the past for it to happen, but going into something knowing your heart will break is just unacceptable :p
Why for all these problems are you only discussing/using the Korean counterparts? Not fair is it. That's the only…
Because not everyone watches dramas from different Asian countries. I'd much rather the author stick with what she knows than trying to find Japanese or Taiwanese examples and have zero idea what she is talking about. It leaves open the option for people who watch a lot of jdramas, like yourself, to write their own article that can speak to the other jdrama addicts out there.

Akumi has asked me the same thing, and unfortunately I don't have an answer for you! I can type up to -900 characters before I have to start a new comment. I didn't do anything to magically get that ability. If you notice, before you type in the comment box at all, it claims 1800 characters remaining. But once you start typing, it jumps down to 900 characters remaining. I am just able to type the whole 1800 characters. Akumi says she has tried to go over and it doesn't work for her, so I am not sure why it does it for me! Though, I am eternally grateful because I write entire essays in the comment section, I am so verbose :p

I am the same way!! There are a few actors that I just don't want to watch more of their work because I don't want that image I have of them spoiled! It's so irrational, but I guess our love for dramas isn't the most rational as it is :p I am going to start Smiling Pasta next!!
That totally makes sense that Fondant Garden just rubbed you the wrong way if you were looking for something more serious. Have you seen Panda and Hedgehog? Someone told me that Fondant Garden was a way better PaH, and I liked PaH, so that is why I was curious about it :)
I really want to finish In Time With YOu, but I may have to take breaks in between episodes. The episodes are so long and so uneventful! Also, am I the only one who gets a huge gay vibe from the assistant guy that she is kind of crushing on?
I haven't read the manga, but I did hear that they were going to make a Korean version and I got excited about it the storyline then. Now that I can stand tdramas, I figure why wait!?
I haven't watched anything new at all, just one more episode of In Time With You. My parents are in town, and I never ever get any drama watching done when they are around. I usually just end up watching old episodes because I don't have to follow so closely. I am rewatching Missing You for like the 19th time! Can't help it :p
OH! So I totally broke down and made some kdrama iphone cases for my phone! They are so cute, I can't wait til they come in!!!

Dokko Jin!!!!! I couldn't see him as an evil guy. EVER. Why hasn't he been in anything since 2011?!? Is he enlisted right now? I need more of his Dokko Jin-like acting :p I will definitely consider Poseidon if the ending isn't that bad! Though I am sure I will hate how little romance there is in it :( I can't ever remember which one has Kim Tae Hee, Athena or Iris. I always consider watching whichever one she is in, but I hate being heartbroken. I swear, if I had known some of the deaths in the couple of sad dramas I have watched, I probably never would have watched them!!
I actually looked up the ending to Cruel City because I was too curious and it does have a devastating ending. I don't think I'll be watching it, at least not any time soon. Some people say that it's an open ending, and that you don't really know if what you're supposed to believe happened actually happened. I say there are too many other dramas I want to give a shot to before that one.

I actually love the gangster children storyline! Maybe not an actual gangster, but I do like it when a gangster's child tries to make things right in the world! And he is so protective, I swear, I swoon. Actually freaking swoon :p
I haven't put much thought into costumes! Since we have to pay so much for pictures, I'm kind of thinking of not dressing up, at least not in something that would make me unrecognizable ;p I need lifelong proof that I got to touch Norman Reedus :p
That is so absolutely true about the whole putting something on hold thing! I absolutely love the feeling that if I want it, there is more after rewatching something! Once you finished that, it's over and that's it. Nothing new to experience!!

Howdy :) I would really love to watch Cruel City, the clips I have seen and all of the City Hunter comparisons have me intrigued! But someone told me the lead guy dies, and I just can't watch a drama where that happens :( But thanks for pulling for the drama! It's always nice to see people trying to clear up notions about dramas that people can have :)
