This is a really great first article! Lee Min Ho is fantastic :) I can't wait til he announces his next role! I hope it is something lighter than Faith and City Hunter, I miss goofy Min Ho :)

You know, I never thought about it from Jung Woo's and Soo Yeon's perspective, you're so right. For them and their future, it is the best possible outcome that doesn't end with Harry dead! And no, I didn't stick with it, just because I had to go back and rewatch all my favorite Missing You scenes :p but I am going to give it another shot tonight. 9 Ends 2 Outs was one of the first dramas I ever put on my plan to watch list! I never remember it though when I am picking a new drama. You will have to give me a final verdict when it is over :)
Words cannot describe my love for Sungkyunkwan Scandal. And surprisingly, it has nothing to do with Yoochun! For me, Yoochun's character was ok, but it was Jae Shin and Yong Ah that had me utterly addicted. Their friendship was just so fun to watch and Jae Shin was and amazing character. Song Joong Ki is Yong Ah and he is phenomenal in the show. His character is just hilarious, every scene he is in, he steals the show! As your first sageuk, it's a good choice! Though, the beginning is a bit slow, it gets a lot better once she gets into the school.

As to Han Tae Joon, I actually had no problem believing he would set it up so Harry could take Soo Yeon. Han Tae Joon's only motive was money. He had been to prison before to protect his money, I would imagine he would think he could do it again if it meant having money when he got out. Tae Joon was calculating, but he seemed to lose his damn mind when money got involved. Otherwise, I think he would have seen through Harry a lot sooner, if Harry wasn't dangling a ton of money in front of his nose :p
Rooftop Prince's ending isn't sad, necessarily. It's....open. They leave it up to the viewer to decide who someone was at the end, and I didn't like it at first, but the longer it marinated in my head, the more I liked it. Rooftop Prince will make you cry a bit, but it's not really super sad. I started The Musical, but I am not sure I will stick with it. It's so weird! And really more like an actual musical, what with the breaking out into song in the classroom than I had anticipated. I think I was wanting something more Music heavy like You're Beautiful or Dream High. And yes, please do let me know what you start next!!!

I have conflicting feelings about Harry's end. It's the only thing that bugs me about the drama. Sometimes I am glad that he didn't have to live with what he did, but that's when I think that Harry was a product of Han Tae Joon's villainy. Whenver I think of all of the hurt Harry caused, I get mad that he doesnt really have justice served on him. I am so glad that you enjoyed the ending :) I agree it felt really well rounded and complete! That scene where she meets young Hyun Joon on the playground is heartbreaking :(
The fingerprint thing, I had just assumed that was Harry's influence. He bought them brand new identities, I just figured having her prints changed in a database wouldn't be difficult to do. I had thought that Jung Woo had changed it, cause of the scene where he was looking for a current fingerprint, since he knew Soo Yeon was innocent but I couldn't decide if that was something he would do!

Missing You is as close to perfect as dramas get. I think Queen In Hyun's Man is the only other drama that I have not had any complaints on. I do have one complaint on the final episode of Missing You, but we can discuss that when you finish! But otherwise, the writers were just incredible, and I wish MDL let you stalk writers the way you can stalk actors cause that is one writer I'd love to stalk! I completely agree with everything you said about Harry! It's so incredible how well he was able to hide just how off-kilter he was. I mean, from the beginning when he put the can under the brake you knew he wasn't all there, but when they showed him as an adult, he looked more well-rounded. Even when they were showing you bits of his revenge, it seemed justified. But as they slowly revealed more and more of the insanity behind the mask and just how manipulative he was, it was pretty genius of the writers to do it that way. Anyway, I know Missing You has you twisted, but just remember, I wouldn't have recommended it if it left you twisted in the end :)
I wouldn't start Faith next! Faith does have light moments, but it's more melodrama than anything. Too much plotting and court intrigue! I loved it, but you definitely need something light and fluffy in between the two :) I will definitely let you know when I start When It's At Night. I am in such a slump though, that even if I can't get into it it doesn't have anything to do with your recommending skills!!

This is why Jung Woo is THE BEST CHARACTER EVER! That line broke my heart and put it back together again all in one blow. The heartbreaking reminder of what happened coupled with Jung Woo's determination to never let Soo Yeon be hurt just gave me chills! I didn't want to spoil it, but with Missing You, it never seems to fall into cliches. Every time you think someone is going to fall into one, there is Jung Woo dragging them back from the brink. You start worrying that lies are getting in the way, and Jung Woo tells you that he understands why you didn't tell him something. You start worrying about Soo Yeon's mom kicking him out or yelling at him, Jung Woo hugs her and won't let her. The perseverance he shows even in the face of so much tragedy and loss totally redeems him from running away from her in the past. When that happened, I thought I would hate Jung Woo. But instead, I came to realize that he was just a kid, and he was scared. Just because Soo Yeon ran after kidnappers, doesn't mean that all 15 year olds have the same fight or flight response.

The ending to episode 17 is intense, and I can promise you you won't be able to wait to start 18. 17 was when they announced they were going to extend the show, so they only aired that episode that week, and it was TORTURE to wait a whole week for 18. But I am insanely glad that they did extend it, it was worth the torture :) I've loved reliving Missing You with you, I am going to be sad when you are finished! I was reading your profile about Missing You, and while I do love Yoochun just a tad more, the kid who plays young Jung Woo was PHENOMENAL! The girl who played young Soo Yeon was too. I have never in my life been more impressed by child actors than I was with those two. It was shocking how well they played those damaged roles!
I have no idea what I want to start next! I want to check out When It's At Night, but I think I want a fun musical comedy to balance out What's Up. The hectic is ramping up even worse now, and won't get better til after the 15th! But luckily, that's not too far away now ;) Have you thought about what you're going to start after Missing You?
Like an idiot, I ended up watching both Death Bell movies a week or so ago, and I haven't slept well since then! It reminded me that I am not cut out for horror. The American version of The Grudge wrecked my world, watching it as a teen. We had the same type of attic in our rooms, I ended up sleeping on the floor in my mom's room for a good two weeks :p If the Japanese version is even slightly scarier, I think I'd die :p Great article, though!

No spoilers, but you might be surprised by Jung Woo and Soo Yeon :) Though, I do think if Soo Yeon had been honest about who Harry was as soon as she admitted to Jung Woo who she was, things would have been resolved faster, but I don't think I was ever frustrated that she didn't. Soo Yeon's experiences garnered her some more free passes than most heroines get, I think.
I am so bummed that What's Up was so heartbreaking. I really should have seen it coming though, so it's totally my fault that I didn't! It was such a dark comedy from the get go. When I think of musical dramas, I think fluffier things like You're beautiful and Dream High!

For the love of all things good and holy, don't watch What's Up unless you want your world destroyed. This drama completely wrecked everything. I don't know if I ever liked it, but objectively I can see that it is good. But damn, that ending. I could never do that again. I would say it's a don't watch! The growth of the characters is awesome, I will admit, but it's not worth it for growth!

I am trying so hard not to say anything, cause I don't want to spoil anything! Harry is one crazy guy. When he started trying to angle things so that all three could be friends, you could see he had control issues. I think episode 17 is where Harry reaches the peak of crazy. After that episode, nothing could surprise me about what he would do!!

It does get to be a little much! There is a lot more crying and emotionally devastating material than Innocent Man. Whereas Innocent Man lacked levity, it also wasn't soul-crushingly sad :p When I started Missing You, the plan had been to watch it over two weeks til the last episode aired, but I ended up watching everything that had aired in a day and a half. Then they went and extended the episode count and my tortuous wait for the finale, so I think I got a much needed break in between, even if I was impatient for it. I am not sure if a straight marathon is wise ;p Though, once everyone accepts that she is Soo Yeon, it does get considerably lighter in all aspects except for one that I don't want to ruin cause I'm not sure where you are at!

It's such a confusing show, emotionally! The people you thought you wouldn't like, you end up caring a lot for even when they make such bad decisions! That episode with the mom destroyed me!! When Soo Yeon starts saying she did a bad thing, and the mom loses it and tells her how strong she is, seriously just typing that has me tearing up!
I was sooooo worried when I recommend this drama because it is so emotionally draining, you never know when someone won't be able to handle it. I am sooooooooo glad you are loving it!
I saw Rooftop Prince first, and I wasn't impressed with Yoochun! I thought he was cute, and an OK actor, but nothing he did blew me away. Then I watched this and I was STUNNED. No actor has ever been able to make me cry like he does. It takes just one tear rolling down that cheek to get me bawling. I am dying for him to announce his next drama already!!

Bahahah, the last line about it being my own fault made me laugh! I am totally OK with taking responsibility for your fangirling :p I love getting to be apart of your emotional tornado, cause it reminds me so much of my own tornado :) There were times when my heart broke for Harry and times when I just hated him! All he wants is Soo Yeon to love him and the people who hurt him to pay. But Soo Yeon can't ever love him the way he wants, so he just sets him on a path of destruction. It's ridiculously heartbreaking. That scene where she sees the guy who raped her and then has a break down in the shower with Harry trying to break in to comfort her was so rough! They don't try and sugar coat any of it! I had decided in the beginning to hate Hyung Joon cause he killed the detective who I was really loving. But then you see Harry and how much he loves her and I started to forgive, at least a little. When she is with Jung Woo and Harry sees and is hurt, I feel bad for Harry. But when she is with Harry and Harry gets all possessive, my brains screams NO SHE IS JUNG WOO'S!!!

You just made me so happy :) I am soooooooo ecstatic that you are loving it!! It is heart wrenching and awful, but still so amazing! There will be a lot of crying to come too! Especially in the scenes with Soo Yeon's mom! Oh my god, that actress is incredible. I didn't think I was going to like her, cause she's so awful in the beginning, but when you see how much it has affected her, ugh I am tearing up at work here just thinking about it! I can't wait til you get a little further when it starts to be happier. I promise that they do add in bright spots of happiness in all of the darkness. Especially with Jung Woo's wifey at the police station :p It's a pretty great bromance right there! Missing You is just a non-stop rollercoaster of emotion. You'll be drenched in tears and then someone will do something to lighten the mood, and you'll be laughing through your tears, to only turn around and starting sobbing buckets again next. I worry about whether the actors were kept well hydrated throughout the drama, with as much as they had to cry! This is your first Yoochun drama, right?
Oh, I totally get you on 49 Days! I was going to watch it and thank god I read a spoiler before I started it, otherwise it would have ruined my whole world! I need rainbows at the end. But that's why you can always trust any recommendation I have will have a good ending, cause I don't set people up for disappointment, or at least I try not to!

I am so glad you're starting Missing You!! The childhood stuff gets pretty seriously awful, and it will definitely break your heart! But I promise you, I would never in a million years recommend something that didn't have a good ending! I particularly loved the ending to Missing You, though there is one character who you feel bad for at the end. But other than that, it's all rainbows at the end :) keep me posted about how you're liking it! What's Up is still super strange, but I think I'm liking it!

I'm hooked! It's a weird drama and it's really dark, but it's also good! I have a horrible feeling about the ending already, but the cast is phenomenal. It has Si Kyung from King2Hearts, two characters from Faith, and Man Suk from Vineyard Man :)
