Oh, dear god this needs to happen!! I really like the idea of IU as Haruhi! Thanks for sharing this, it totally brightened my morning :)

I actually just started rewatching my favorite scenes from Vineyard Man! I was seriously surprised with how much I ended up loving that show. At first I thought the lead guy was so ugly, but I was on a Yoon Eun Hye kick and wanted to watch it anyway. Her character was so annoying in the first 5 or 6 episodes I dropped it like 4 times! But I finally got past her being annoying and the guy character was literally THE PERFECT MAN. He was so sweet, and did so much for YEH's character, I just melted and now I think he is so hot :p it's funny how that works!! But yes you have to add Vineyard Man to your list, it's too good to miss. I Am A King is just a movie. It's kind of like the prince and the pauper fairy tale. Ji Hoon's plays a crown prince and a slave and the crown prince runs away and the guards make the slave pretend to be the prince so they aren't all killed for letting the prince get away. I stopped halfway though cause my Internet is so slow on my tablet with YouTube. But they' have the whole movie subbed and up on YouTube if you want to check it out now that you have your computer back!

I don't want to spoil it for you in case you end up wanting to watch it someday, but something happens in Five Fingers that made me put it on my "will probably never ever ever watch it, but it has a hot actor in it so I might magically change my mind someday" list. I accidentally read a spoiler on it, and now I'm too chicken!

Ok I'll start it tomorrow :) the boyfriend has a double shift tomorrow, so I will have the apartment all to myself after work, which means I get to watch on the big screen :p Song Joong Ki on a 52 inch screen sounds like heaven! Mr Destiny was alright, nothing spectacular. It had the guy from Big and Coffee Prince in it and he was pretty cute. Plus it had the lead guy from The Vineyard Man in it briefly and I loved him so much in VM so that was neat :) they just spent too much time showing scenes from her first love rather than showing the new love interest and her connecting. But it still made me laugh a few times and I like the ending. Right now I am finishing up I Am A King with Joo Ji Hoon and it is pretty funny. I am so glad he is back from his drug scandal. I wish five Fingers didn't sound so utterly depressing cause I was really eager to see him in a new drama.

This was CLAMP's only work I never got into, thanks to the xxx in the title and that I was into manga in my teens and no amount of arguing could convince my mom it wasn't porn. But at 8 episodes, I think I'm gonna give the drama shot :)

Hi!! I saw your comment in the movie directory thread about the movie Fly High that was mislabeled on Netflix and I didn't know if you'd figured it out yet or not. Netflix has it labeled as a Ji Hyun Woo movie called Fly High and it's really the Kim Bum Fly High movie. It had bugged me earlier cause the poster they have up is of Kim Bum, but he wasn't listed in the main actors on Netflix, so I had to do a little digging to find out what was going on. Sorry if you already found the answer somewhere, I just saw your question and since I knew the answer, thought I'd help :)

I don't like historicals, but if they're fusion sageuks like Faith or comedies like Sungkyunkwan Scandal, I am willing to give them a shot. If you like Lee Min Ho, you should really give Faith a shot as your first one! The clothes aren't as ridiculous as straight historicals, cause it does have the fantasy aspect and the romance in it is wonderful! I am terrified of Innocent Man, if I am telling the truth! I don't really like melodramas, they make me nervous!! But I absolutely LOVED Missing You with Yoon Eun Hye and Yoochun, and everyone I know says they are really similar in tone and feeling so I am giving it a shot! But I totally get the need to pepper in a ton of happy! I just finished Reply 1997 and Dream High, so I think I stocked up on cute pretty well :) If you haven't seen Reply 1997 yet, you totally should! It was such a fun ride, and I loved getting to know all of the different characters! And I totally know how it feels to not have anyone to watch stuff with! My best friend watches dramas occasionally, but she is never really obsessed and watches like an episode a month, so she is no fun :p Definitely let me know when you finish your next drama and maybe you can catch up on Innocent Man with us or start whatever we start next :)

The Greatest Love was AMAZING!!!! I had dropped it after just the first few minutes before and i said the exact same thing when I finally picked it back up. It was so unexpectedly heart felt! I was just rewatching my favorite scenes from it night before last. Right now I just started the movie I Am A King with Joo Ji Hoon in it. I'm only 15 minutes in but so far it is pretty funny. And Ji Hoon is quite lovely to look at :p I am waiting on my friend Lyna to finish Arang and then we are going to start Innocent Man together, and my friend Minoz (who is on vacation in Korea right now!) is picking the drama she wants to watch with me :) I love watching stuff with other people because it is so great to be able to talk with someone about it as you're watching it :) have you seen Innocent Man yet? It's supposed to be a little sad, but if you haven't watched it yet but plan on it, you should watch it with us! The more the merrier :)

I worry sometimes about that fine line of colorfully upset and downright mean too :p But I don't think your comment was mean at all! Some people just can't stand certain actors! And then you have people who are obsessed with the actors you hate and you just can't figure out what they see in them!! Moon Geun Young is one of those for me! Like just seeing her face is enough to make me angry :p I couldn't even make it 30 minutes into Mary Stayed Out All Night, it drove me nuts that bad!! I was so sad that Jang Geun Suk was in it, cause I have loved all of his other stuff, but couldn't suffer through that one :p What are you watching right now?

I should have checked and made sure dramafever or Viki had it before adding it to the list of options. They don't have Princess Lulu or Great Inheritance :(

Let me know when you are ready to start it :) I watched to movies yesterday on Netflix :p Finding Mr. Destiny and The Naked Kitchen. Finding Mr Destiny was OK, a little boring. The Naked Kitchen had a SERIOUSLY hot scene between Shin Min Ah and Joo Ji Hoon in the beginning, but the rest was pretty boring :(

I got really excited when I read this comment so I did some googling, and it looks like what you are talking about is a reality tv show with actual people wanting to be a kpop star. I'd be shocked if they ever did make a second season of this show since it had such poor ratings, but a girl can hope :p

EXACTLY!! While the confusion can be fun, most time travel dramas carry it on way, way too long like in Rooftop Prince. I LOVED how Boong Do just sort of accepted it and moved on with his life instead of flailing around like an idiot. It really did raise this drama leagues and bounds above other time travel dramas :)

I saw your comment in the Dropped thread in the forum, and thought it was funny what you said about Shin Min Ah! I totally felt the same way about her until My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, and I think I only started to make myself like her cause of my love of Lee Seung Gi :p I still feel the same way about Moon Geun Young. I just loathe everything about her, and I can't figure out why :p

I was going to pick something to start til she was ready to start our next drama, if you want to watch something with me while we wait :)

There's Paradise Farm which is about a divorced couple who meet again accidentally and end up having to live together.

Smile You, which is about a woman whose rich family goes broke so they have to live with their chaffeur's family (this one is long! 45 episodes).

That Fool, which is about a famous woman and an ordinary man falling in love.

Love Marriage which is about a matchmaker who sets up divorced people together and the divorce attorney she meets.

Great Inheritance is about a third rate mobster who inherits a kindergarten and subsequently falls in love with a kindergarten teacher there.

Princess Lulu which is about a love triangle between a rich girl, her lifelong best friend and a playboy (it kind of reminds me of the plot to Reply1997!)

And then Goong S is kind of like My Princess with a monarchy in modern day Korea and the Empress being married off to a prince.

Lyna!!!!!!!! I finished Dream High and it was epic :) I loved it so much! My only complaint is that we didn't get to see Hye Mi and Song Sam Dong reunite after the time jump. If they had just done that, I could have given this show a ten. But all in all, it was a really satisfying show, I am so glad I picked it back up :)

I just read your review for New Tales of Gisaeng and you convinced me to keep it on my PTW list! I usually don't ever want to watch family dramas, but since you said you don't watch them much and loved that one, I should give it a shot :)
