Now that you mention it, Gun would actually suit me better in some sweet, romantic title, perhaps as a character…
Exactly! Gun's a great actor, but I think this type of role isn't exactly his...forte...? I don't want to say that he should be 'boxed' into a certain type of role, but more like 'boxed out' of this type maybe? Everyone has their strengths, the loud, artsy, flamboyant type just isn't his.
Didn't expect it, but this series really got me hooked for the story and how the characters are portrayed. When I read the synopsis I never thought Off would be such a good fit for this role, but I'll be damned if he isn't pulling it off top notch.
On the other hand - Gun just doesn't work for me as much. I got the impression at the beginning of series that you're supposed to feel some form of pity for his character, but all I got was just the urge to eyeroll. He's a good actor, but I don't think this role is the best fit for him and he's there just as a package deal with Off.. (and I'm not even talking about the dead-fish kisses with Dew..).
But the biggest question I have - who's hand it is that's doing all those cute lil' drawings...? :D
hahaha you can tell you didn't read the manga, his character is supposed to be like that, he doesn't show his…
I’m guessing from your comment that you’re enjoying the series, and I’m glad you do. However, how you perceive the interpretation of a character doesn’t make someone else’s interpretation invalid.
As I said - my opinion is most likely biased, as I’m not into the series, but each to their own. :)
Most likely a very unpopular opinion, and most likely biased because I'm struggling to overall like this series, but the more I watch it, the more it feels like Gemini's acting is subpar and affecting the series. For me anyway.
The acting feels very similar to the past roles, where it worked because of how the character was written, but in this series it really feels like he's just reading the script and going through the motions with a lot of awkwardness. It worked in MSP because the creepy/awkward seemed cute because of the setting and overall interaction, but here..nuhuh.
There's been some comments about lack of chemistry between Gem and 4th, but I'm tempted to say it's less that and more just zero across the board from Gem..
Cherry Magic was a whole lot hit and miss as far as adaptations of series go. But this is just a masterpiece of misses as far as episode 1 goes. More so it feels like I'm watching less of GemFourth and more of Gem and Fourth...

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. And at the end of the day the raging and “attacks” are just kind of fun just sitting back and watch unfold.
