I agree. I really like the actors, but I feel the writing isn't doing them any justice. Somethings feel a bit rushed and others without purpose. What was the purpose of He Ye getting married to that caravan girl? And I was confused for 2 episodes before the show decided to let me know how Han Jiang and Su Yu Ning escaped the cave... One episode ends in a cliffhanger and the next everything is alright without any explanation... This series had such potential.

I don't know why some people think this is boring... I think it might take some 3 episodes to really get…
I'm still on episode 11 so I'm not catch up with everything. I agree that it'd be much better to have character developments instead of palace intrigues and can-do-no-wrong-female-protagonist. I'm still waiting for her to go back to paiting. Still, I care enough for the characters to stick around and see where this is going. Usually I drop a drama without looking back if it has nothing to hook me, so something must be working to keep me around... even if it's just Song Seung Heon's face :P

I really don't like casting of the female lead because she is too old for the part against Song Seung Huen.…
Wow, she's 46??? I wouldn't know at all!

I don't know why some people think this is boring... I think it might take some 3 episodes to really get into this drama, but it's good so far (I'm 9 episodes in)... some unbelievable parts aside (remembering things from 20 years ago like it was yesterday), it keeps me entertained and wanting to know what's going to happen to the characters.
