I was so hopeful when they announced a Thai adaptation of this epic love story. But the Thai version has fallen flat. The original Chinese version is still the best. Even the Korean version is better than this. Between this miss and the disaster that is My Love Mix Up I’m leary of GMMTVs adaptations. I have suffered this long so might as well watch the last episode tomorrow. Then immediately go rewatch the original Chinese version for the upteenth time to cleanse this disaster.
Yeah the last episode was super draggy. I waited and binged the first 5 episodes. I needed to know what happened to Blue, so I watched EP 6 currently instead of waiting for the release of more episodes. Now I am thinking what if Nail is actually Blue and he just reinvented himself to get back at Him.
Bravo!!! A masterpiece of a show. In a recent interview Jimmy said EP 9 was the Miss Universe of episodes and yes it was! This show goes on the all time favorite list of BLs. This is what a good script, great director and other talented behind the scenes crew, and fantastic actors get you in a show.
I had to stop watching at episode 5. I wanted to support this project but I keep thinking it’s just SOTUS with girls and this version is not very good. I thought they learned we were tired of engineering majors in the storyline. I then watched the last part of ep 8 and it’s now Together With Me: The Next Chapter, I fight with my lover get drunk and sleep with someone else. I just can’t. There is so much potential for original GLs (GAP) don’t recycle egineering BL storylines by replacing the boys with girls!
initially the storyline was intriguing but now it’s moving in very slow motion. I thought finally ep 9 they will figure out the switch or come clean but ugh just a snail pace took me two days to get thru the episode since I feel asleep!
I read the book, it was ok, Bed Friends was better. The main point of the Middleman Book is Mai liking Jade and Jade being so clueless to Mai's attention. In the book Mai and Jade's story was simultaneous with the Bed Friend story line. The book seemed to drag on, it was a lot of Mai giving Jade rides and bringing him food. So I can understand why the screenwriters and directors took this direction with the story. It is cringy to watch, just don't think to much about it and laugh along. Remember there have been way worse shows. Thankfully there are only 8 episodes and Tutor and James and Net are wonderful eye candy!
Such a frustrating show. So many unnecessary characters and plot points. They just pulled all the troupes and strung them together. I have tried to give fillipino BLs a chance over and over but they just don’t hit. Mark this as “The Last Story!”
The story was cute and not too much drama. Was it the best show, no, but there are a lot worse BLs out there. They all did a good job. I don't really have a bias in the group, but always liked Nine and Mill's paring. I think KB did a great job as the bd guy! I actually liked the way it was shot without too much filters. I really enjoyed the footage from their videos and hearing their other songs. The pictures of Mill's character in the US (NY Times Square) were from their US tour earlier this year when they celebrated his birthday, it was their first stop on their US tour. I look forward to more from the boys.
Watching on mute is actually not that bad. I read that the dubbing is a comedic cultural thing. The dubbing confused me, so I decided to try again on mute and actually the story is not bad. It is silly and not serious so kind of of nice to watch on a lazy Sunday morning. The video quality is good and the editing is not bad. I am keeping an open mind about the series. I have watched and waded through much worse.
It is shot well an finally Frank's hair looks good! Why did they have to dub it? Its like one person is doing all the voices. Reminds me of "Kung Fu Theatre" that I used to watch as a kid! The story premise was really promising, but the dubbing just makes it comedic and takes away from the story. Will I be able to make it thru to the end? I have watched and made it through much worse!
I watch this show at the office hoping it will make it better since I watch it in small bits, in between projects. I don't think I could watch the entire episode in one sitting. Pat always looks as if he is petrified or needs to poop really bad. I have watched much worse, so step by step I will get to the end of this show!
Classis storyline brothers fall for the same girl. The writing well there is a lot to be desired. Huge plot holes, like single female breaching drug cartels security, really? Then whining ignorant girl jumps in the truck of a boy that is on the run from the police then whine about why are the police chasing us! I really had to laugh at the whole episode four. Then everyone getting angry and accusing Korn when it was Rung who caused all the problems to begin with. If I ignore all that and just watch for Ohm and Perth visuals then maybe it will improve? Wishful thinking!
