A Masterpiece of Chemistry and Acting
I watched 8 episodes in one night and then I regretted it the next morning because I want at least 80 episodes of this. So be aware before watching this because you WILL want more and you WILL go searching through Youtube for more content.
Cast: When you bring an actor like Pond in a serious BL, you know you're about to witness a performance that will leave an impact on you (exhibit A: 180 degrees longitude passes through us). His acting is flawless as always, but what makes this drama so impactful is his partner, Peterpan. I haven't seen him before but he plays the part of a man in love so beautifully. The supporting cast fulfills their roles perfectly too.
Chemistry: This is where the real strength of this drama lies. The plot is good don't get me wrong but the sheer raw chemistry between Peterpan and Pond will have you thinking you're intruding on a real couple. I don't know what they did in their rehearsals but it feels like they're are an established couple for years (which they're not). The intimacy scenes is probably the best ever I've seen in any drama, watching them will make you understand what "making love" means.
Plot: Its a unique plot, there's only few dramas like this one. Its more emotion-driven than story-driven which is not an issue at all, there's some mystery which is interesting but that's not the central point. Its a good plot, nothing that'll blow your minds but also nothing that'll bore you. The pacing could be better, but that's just be wanting more PeterPond moments. Edit after ep 10: the plot is gooooooood, the last few episodes have some insane tension.
Overall, give it a try. Watch at least till episode 4 before thinking of dropping. Pond's performance is always a treat to watch and Peterpan allevates it to new levels.
