Loved YothaGun arc the most for the messy and toxic plot involving all of its main and lead characters (Yotha, Gun, Klao, Warit, Newton, Faifa and the horrible mother).
The other two arcs were okay but with no engaging drama I got bored tbf (Junior killed it as Faifa though).

Idk I just feel like Marc is too wooden whether its with his line delivery (very monotonous) or his lack of facial expressions...could be that he getting typecast into those "calm and collected guys"

Despite all of the issues with this adaptation whether its the characterization, styling, script or directing....I cant deny how lovely some of the cast members were whether its with their portrayal on-screen or their close bond and the constant support they provided to each other off-screen❤️
As I specifically only followed this show for Santa and while this script doesnt entirely do justice to his acting talent I cant help but praise his effort given the sudden casting change and having only 2 workshops with Perth while filming this show while there is more room for improvement for both of them regarding upcoming acting performances together I cant deny that despite the limited script and production of this show that it still showed me good chemistry and potential (so I wish them great luck in their upcoming series Love You Teacher under P'Dome).
P.S. I still hate the mum.

For My Only 12% was very good (except the sister's loveline and the mum dying subplots both were unnecessary imo).
Yeah I agree with everything u said about New directing multiple couple's shows he is just not good at it (for the reasons u mentioned above) and add to that his very outdated style and the cliche tropes he still uses like its 2025 man u need to let some of these tropes/cliches go. My hope for Revamp is that the script will not entirely be on him and Buon will be involved in it so fingers crossed it turns out well they have a good cast (BP Santa Kay etc) so it will be such a waste if the series is not good.

For real…Idk what happened to him the last series I enjoyed from him was My Only 12% (it was far from perfect) but I think it is one of his last cohesive works in terms of directing and presenting a “coming of age”: slice of life story. I watched We Are and disliked it a lot and while this is similar in premise it is less messy than WA but again as you pointed out similar issues still occur in this series and its evident in all 3 arcs…the cast members here are doing a lot of heavy lifting too unlike in WA.
I’m worried about Revamp too first bcs of New and second bcs of GMM’s possible cheap CGI and SFX choices (look at the mess happening with My Golden Blood right now🤦🏻‍♀️) I will still tune in for it though bcs I really love Santa and Kay but yeah my expectaions are very very low.

Its his "style" the guy is just way too boring and safe when directing these romantic/intimate scenes

All of these traumas were handled so poorly. For me Gun's was handled in the worst way possible...while the solution/method was correct the pacing and that "power of love" excuse for his "cure" from it was beyond shallow and ridiculous tbf.

All the trauma's in this show were handled so poorly (Gun, Yotha and Faifa) just very lazy and one note writing which is expected from GMM when it comes to such topics🤷🏻‍♀️
