I am not going to lie... I am not entirely sure what I just watched. It was hilarious though.

A gentle, "slow" film if you will... but very beautiful. :)

No plot, but for a "review"ish type episode there was a lot of new banter and silliness.

Most of the film was sort of slow moving, but the end was really beautiful. :)

For those who didn't know, this is not the same plot as the Anime or original novel. It is a sequel to the movie made in the 1980s, and the character is the daughter of the original character.

This is one of the few horror films I've watched which caused me any moment of fear. I think the complete lack of background music and filming style enhanced it for me, as the paranormal is in the middle of "everyday" existence which we all experience as opposed to something where the context is as odd as the happenings.

I agree that this was more fantasy than horror. I personally thought that Sadako was kind of... poorly done? It didn't really make a ton of sense in line with the other films. I enjoyed the concept though.

I think this was my favorite of the Kindaichi series that I have seen (I've seen everything at this point except the special for this season and the special with Kamenashi Kazuya playing Kindaichi). I really liked the mysteries (I didn't always predict the endings, which was nice) and I really liked this version of the main character. I thought he was a lot like me. Its not as funny as the original two seasons, though, I will admit. :)

Evidently I am in the strong minority in saying that this actually felt like a nice bit of closure for the show. I was worried when I saw the comments on here that the special would turn out to be all flashbacks, but it was almost all new footage in a storyline. I agree more with the idea that this is really "episode 12" with a few new characters thrown in.

Yeea, I watch mostly J-dramas/movies because I am studying Japanese and its convenient and fun. :) And an excuse. I'm glad you liked the review and I hope you will enjoy the show as well. Good luck on your midterms!!

Its cute, and the controls are pretty easy, though if you want truly easy something which requires little coordination is better. I have poor coordination, so I play stuff like FireEmblem a lot. Those are kind of like fantasy chess. But I understand lack of time! RL is a busy thing.

A wonderful adaptation of King Lear. Definitely a classic film that must be seen. :)

One of the better Kamen Rider films that I've seen. Cute, obviously written for kids, but it had an interesting plot and made a good closing story for the main character. :)

Well, that was disturbing. Fascinating, but disturbing...

This is a very artsy film, in some ways. Really beautifully put together. I was happy I took the time to watch it, even if it is freaking dark.

I do it all the time, but fortunately everyone around me knows I am studying to go live in Japan and just take it as me practicing to avoid culture shock, not just a result of my hours upon hours of dramas and variety TV... and I just let 'em think it.
