How no one thought his allergy is caused by some psychological problem is beyond me. It makes it looks like there…
Because there probably has never been any cases of allergy that were caused by psychological factors, so the doctors ruled out the possibility. Doctors treat illnesses only according to the most probable diagnosis.
Unexpectedly this drama became my favorite drama in 2017. The characters had depth, the challenges were realistic, the story had deep messages that were presented in the best way possible, and the lines were poetic and philosophical like literature.
Does anyone else have a hard time liking the male lead or is it just me? The way he keeps spending every buck he gets is so off putting and he never helps with anything >.> I don't understand why the female lead is spoiling him so much. She shouldn't let him behave that way. I think the female lead doesn't know how to stand firm when she needs to...
The original Chinese Odyssey/JTTW was about Buddhism and philosophy... I don't think it's a good idea to make it into a romance story cuz that just ruins the original. I do like love stories and I'm also a fan of LSG and OYS, but making JTTW into a romantic-fantasy kdrama is just downright weird and doesn't match with the messages the original was trying to tell.
I know many people didn't like the last two episodes, but I think what Ji Ho did made perfect sense.
She chose to divorce because they didn't get married for love, and marriage brought about many duties and responsibilities that they had not given much thought about in the beginning, so if they are now really in love, they should re-think marriage in the perspective of preserving their love. It would not be a proper order if a relationship started with marriage and not dating first because they don't even know each other properly yet e.g. Ji Ho said she has never seen Se Hee cry, get angry, or express any emotions in front of her even though she was his "wife", thus she wants to restart from the beginning and redo the whole process as a girlfriend.
ah is there one that you recommend? something fun and kind of slice-of-life but focused on romance i mean
If you like slice of life rom-coms that are light but have realistic touch, I would recommend Because This is My First Life. It's about real struggles in love relationships and the lines are beautiful like poetry. You can also try She Was Pretty or Marriage Not Dating, those are pretty refreshing too.
I stopped on episode 6 because it didn't feel like the plot was going anywhere. Can anyone tell me if I should continue watching it? When does it start to get good? I'm thinking if I should pick this back up
I think this drama takes on a similar approach as Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, they both don't have sophisticated plotlines, simply focusing on the relationship development of the leads, they are both simple and refreshing with no over-the-top drama. Yet, somehow people hate this drama, while WLFKBJ gets a 9.0 rating on MDL.
Tbh I found this drama extremely boring until episode 12 where it suddenly became spectacular. But I doubt that many people would wait long enough for that part to come. If it was better paced since the beginning I would have liked it.
This is one of the best dramas I've ever seen. And I'm not even an easy person to impress. (I wasn't a big fan of WYWS, DOTS, or even Goblin until its last few episodes) But this drama was an exceptional piece for me, whether it was the poetic-like script or the depth of the characters. Every episode had me reflecting on life and how I should look at relationships and marriage. For those who are thinking whether to watch this, go for it! It's not your average rom-com.
As someone who is a fan of Lee Jong Suk's acting, I don't know why I'm smiling knowing that there…
You can try watching W, Pinocchio and I Can Hear Your Voice which are also good dramas with LJS in it. I didn't find him appealing at the beginning either, but after watching more of his performances I understood why he is considered charismatic to others
Honestly I think this will be one of the best dramas I've watched even though I've only seen 2 episodes. I haven't felt like this for a long time since I became a dramaddict. This is way better than Legend of the Blue Sea, and I hope more people will know this drama cuz it's a TvN production which usually has lower viewer ratings compared to free television. I'm pretty sure Legend of The Blue Sea will have higher ratings and much more exposure given its similarities to MLFTS, but I can see that this is way better in terms of quality and storyline. It's not that Blue Sea is bad, it's just too generic and the plot is a bit childish.
I don't quite get the plot. The synopsis says that Shim Chung was from the Joseon Era. Does that mean she was the same mermaid that was caught and released by joseon Lee Min Ho? Then why does she not recognize him in the modern era if they have the same face? Initially, I thought they were both reincarnations which could have explained this, but judging by the synopsis, modern Lee Min Ho is the only one who is reincarnated into a different person but not Shim Chung (Jun Ji Hyun).
I don't understand why the female lead is spoiling him so much. She shouldn't let him behave that way. I think the female lead doesn't know how to stand firm when she needs to...
