Did you understand why he killed his mother aside she asked and why he called his mother a sister too?
Hi i hope my answer is helping. 1st q: his mother/sister probably was tired and def want to die as well after what she just went through and with odajima with rage as an teenager, he just grant that request to stop her suffering and def regret it as adult later. 2nd q: this is probably hypothetical but pretty clean answer actually, his sister is actually IS HIS OWN BIO MOTHER which means odajima father r*pe and impregnated his own daughter (odajima sister) and at first odajima thought she's his sister but then during his last moment after came home from school and before he snaps out, when his father assaulted his sister, he realised that his sister is actually his mother or the person who giving birth of him and he's the result of inc*st, hence why odajima said that he's actually not meant to be born at eps 3 and understandably why his sister wants to just die at this moment because nothing to go forward in life after what she went through
Odajima’s childhood shatters my heart into pieces. No child should ever carry that kind of pain. To grow up…
Love how you explain this beautifully! I conclude that this story is about a people who have good heart but was born and raise in the very wrong crowd (kataoka raised as yakuza since childhood and odajima who live his life through abuse and was born from potential inc*st), yet they may seem like a bad person with dark past but deep down they're actually good people. In the middle of criminal surroundings where good things are super rare, these good people (kataoka) found another good people (odajima) and understandably fall in love.
Love sometimes can be unexpected, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel <3
And yet, i still don't understand the lipstick scene was meant about, watched it repeatedly and still don't understand lol
I must add that there are trigger warnings in this series, it's very dark (it's yakuza themed so no surprise it's dark, considering these people are criminals with dark past) but it's still romance. So please be aware 😉
I’ve seen so many comments here and on other platforms of people dropping this series or giving it 1-star reviews…
Brava!! 👏👏 you explain perfectly about the power of cinema. This is why i love films and cinema, it explores themes that we don't want to experience but we want to see the perspectives and history. That's the most beautiful part of cinemas and a dear reason of me following dream of acting
Dropped at the first few seconds like since when are we normalizing SA a sleeping man idc if he is Yakuza or Mafia…
Babe no one normalizing SA in this series, they depicts what happen behind close door of yakuza/mafia organizations irl (and we have to remind ourselves that these people are criminals, people who against law). You have to really read and understand the synopsis before watching it because it's clear that this is not fluffy stuff, it's dark stuff (similar to series "happy of the end")
Just a reminder for everyone that's going to watch this show, it's about the yakuza so it deals with literal japanese…
Agreed! I was confused why they keep talking bout consent and stuff because girl... this is yakuza, criminal people, they know what they did is criminal and that's their life. People gotta know and read what they're watching/plan to watch tbh
This deserve to be the the No 1 Chinese BL. Not RL. Istg people just like r**e and red flag guys. I'm still mad…
I suspect people don't really like/enjoy reality-based series, but rather liking dramas that are 'very drama only on screen' drama, not 'realistically-life' drama. I'm still waiting for s2 tbh, so sad they don't have the budget because i was so invested
I understand you, but I don’t think someone can make a blatant statement like that; it’s not fair. There’s…
cannot explain better than this! I agreed with ur opinion. It's already drown in swamp, there are always gonna be "what if? and what if?" but it's what it's. I'm glad the leads broke up with their each partner because they both gonna destroy eachother silently
I always add about 1.00 - 0.50 to Japanese drama ratings because i feel like a lot of MDL users simply do not…
hi, if you want to explore more about jdrama/jbl. I recommend watching them with your gut feeling (not relying on MDL viewers), i learned that MDL giving such a low reviews to one of the best jdrama so watch with your experiences and gut. Japanese indeed never failed to deliver but the MDL ratings may not be delivering the experiences sometimes lol
sooooo we're all okay with just romanticizing cheating bc he's gay? okay then..
Nope, i don't think the series trying to romanticizing cheating tho, in fact they gives us a view about people who cheats. Yes it's not okay AT ALL to cheat but seeing this drama can open our eyes about different perspectives and yes this drama is a bit terrifying cause this whole thing happens all the time irl
Bcs in manga he top. And look like top...in manga.
I think it's because the vibe they given, i read the manga and you just know "oh.. he's the top" or sort of 😂 but when it comes to the series, idk but hiro is more like a twink to me instead of natsuo haha and that's why it's a bit surprise hiro is the top at the series. Hope this extra information helps!
