I love how they set it up in a way that it was clear that either Yoon or Hwa Pyung would die (I feel like Gil Young is a type of character that usually doesn‘t die so I wasn‘t that worried about her) and I was so torn between „Yoon, please save Hwa Pyung“ and „Yoon, please save yourself“. And then they arrived at the seashore and I knew that this has to be the point where one of them dies (I even thought what if both die) and at this point I was shaking and crying and it was so intense. But the scene underwater was so beautiful. First it‘s Yoon reaching out for Hwa Pyung to save him and then it’s Hwa Pyung softly pushing Yoon towards the surface to save him and then sinking into the dark sea. And I thought it would either just end right then and there or when they paid their respects to Hwa Pyung one year later. But it didn‘t. There was more. And I was so confused, I was like ???. And then came the unexpected. Hwa Pyung is alive. And I was so happy and relieved because I never ever would have guessed that a show like this would have a happy ending. It’s a genius idea because I don’t think anyone expects it. And think about the message this sends. However dark the times are, don‘t give up hope, for no one knows what the future might hold. It‘s beautiful, it‘s perfect. As you can see, I am completely in love with this drama :)
Honestly one of the best dramas I ever watched, I loved every second of it. The three main characters are amazing, their friendship is so special to me. The actors and actresses are all *chef’s kiss*. I loved that there‘s no annoying and forced romance. And yes, there is lots of bromance instead and they have so much chemistry, I love it. Even though I was really scared of the ending it turned out to be satisfying. And if you plan to watch this prepare to cry your eyes out. I don‘t think I have ever sobbed this hard when watching a drama. Definitely one of my all time favourites!
