Yu Ran is cute with both but I think she has better chemistry with Lv Guichen. Ep 20 was really sad my heart breaks for Lv Guichen. But there will be new female character appear that will like Lv Guichen and I'm excited to see their scenes. Idk how their relationship will progress though.

The romance in the book is minimal but it's added a bit more in the drama. The dynamic won't still change though. And yes, it's like what you've seen. I'm not sure how much spoiler I should tell you lol but Yu Ran does like Ji Ye.

So it makes sense because a lot of things and changes could happen within 2 years. Also, Lv Guichen is very gentle, kind and soft-hearted by nature , so I think the scene when Lv Song jumped to save him from giant White wolf was enough of a reason/ trigger that made him slowly open up to him and embrace his title of Crown Prince. Lv Song is his biological father after all, and I'm sure he saw the sincere side of him.

Plus, during the farewell scene, even when Lv Song asked Asule if he really wanted to kill him, he still said yes, meaning he still didn't approve of what Lv Song did towards Zhenyan tribe despite he meant well. I mean it's not like Lv Song annihilate the entire tribe for no reason. It's a rule of grassland.

Sorry, I'm not sure about that because the ending of ep 20 stops at when Lv Guichen wrapping blanket around Yu Ran while she was still sleeping soundly before leaving to the capital of Yin empire. So Yu Ran didn't know he left.

Lv Guichen already knew Yu Ran likes Ji Ye anyway so he understood well the marriage meant nothing other than to save their friends. So I assume he'll let go her if she wanted to be with Ji Ye?

About how they save Ji Ye, I think it's Yu Ran that made it into condition to Duke Baili Jinhong but I might be mistaken because I watched without subs.

The wedding still happened for sole reason that they wanted to save Ji Ye. Also, Lv Guichen left to another country I think the next day after their wedding. So basically it's just a marriage of convenience.

Great powers as in what? Didn't his power get surpressed by Lei Bicheng? That's why he's normal even when he's angry. I think it will be back when he's at age of 24 aka him doomsday.

Edit: Forget to add, we're actually in the same pacing with TV broadcast. TV has aired up to ep 14 so far if I'm not mistaken. It airs every Mon - Thurs 2 eps each, while subbed eps on YouTube released every Thurs - Sun. So the subbing pace isn't slow at all. The 20 eps were originally for VIP subscribers. This is only week 2 of broadcast and we getting 6-8 episodes every week is normal.

Based on the book, Lv Guichen developed crush on Yu Ran but it was unrequited. Ji Ye also has crush on her but it wasn't explicitly stated in the book if it was reciprocated but the author did hint that Yu Ran actually likes Ji Ye. Although they don't end up together. IIRC, both Lv Guichen and Ji Ye eventually married to someone else. But I don't know if there will be changes in the drama. Romance in the original book is very minimal by the way.

I think the boys have crush on her simply because she brings the light and joy to their tragic and depressing life as she has a bright personality.

Weeping again at how nicely edited it was because the cinematography in Eagle Flag itself has that movie feel.

I think there's a backstory that have yet to be told about how Gong Yuyi (and Yu Ran) ended up residing in Xiatang and how she became the State Preceptor. I remember there's a mention of how they lost their nation which is in state of war. Gong Yuyi seems mysterious behind her composed smile , I'm guessing she has hidden agenda up in her sleeve to gain power and backing for her nation.

Gong Yuyi - The exceptional goddess she is. To say I'm mesmerized by her beauty and the elegance air she carries is an understatement!

Lady Su Shunqin - I love how gentle and softly spoken she is! She fits very well with Lv Guichen's gentle persona. Her fighting scene in ep 6 is awesome! I feel like there's a thing between she and General Xi Yan and I'm here for this (he's so calm and handsome!)

Yu Ran - Witty and outspoken. She's the character that brings the light part to the show and I'm loving her interactions with both Lv Guichen and Ji Ye.

I think you might forget that it has been 2 years passed since they first reunited as father-son? So a lot of things may have happened and changed within the time span. So, not surprised he said he willing to go to Eastland to do something for Qinyang tribe. I also think the change is possible and reasonable simply because of Asule's nature of personality which is pure, kind and gentle. He has a lot of compassion in his heart, thus Lv Song coming into his rescue from the white giant wolf is possibly the trigger that made him slowly opening up and warming up to him. It's his biological father after all. I agree that the emotional buildup between them is quite lacking though but overall the first 2 eps are great.

Same it's quite fast paced. A lot of things happened in the first two eps. I'm officially hooked.

Watched up to second episode and weeping at how great the production quality is.
