I feel that the male members of the family had their characters very badly written with hardly any redeemable…
I honestly was thinking the same at the end of ep 14. It's not only Nam In, it's the uncle who is portrayed like a always-sick fool and even the father has some pathetic traits, like if he lives in his own world (for example, when he was training at the park late night even knowing that his family is threatened by Shi Oh). At this point is clearly with the purpose to make them idiotic fools like this is to the women in the family show how they are so much better than them, but like you said, it became very very extra. Too much. We understand a few episodes ago that the women are the "best part" of the family, now let everyone work together to solve the drugs problem, you know? ๐ฎโ๐จ
I'm almost dropping this. I'm on episode 17 and didn't get attached to any characters besides Niao Niao. I'll let this on hold until I feel like trying to watch again.
I have to say that IU is a amazing actress. Even some veteran actors and actresses look like amateurs compared to her. Her acting is really mesmerizing.
I skipped a few episodes (26 to 30) to keep going. Our Miscommunication Queen are really getting me crazy, but at least we have a move from the couple I like more at the moment (Yu You & Shi Yue).
People are not liking ShiOh bcz he's handsome. Even the back story isnโt the main reason.ML is like a extra…
I didn't like this actor in Record Of Youth and I don't like him now. Shi Oh has a sad past, okay I got it, but he is an adult now and very self aware of all bad things he is doing. And, as a sucker for health relationships myself, I love Nam Soon and Hee Shik a lot. Just wanted they got more screentime, the beginning of ep 13 is very cute. I hope they end up married and parents of the next gen of strong little girls.
Aaand the ridiculous fatphobic treatment the writers give to Nam In is back. He can't be a 'normal' person who is just living his life, no, he needs to appear always eating or sweating or complaining at a minimum possibility to do some exercises. I know skorea is a very fatphobic country but it's not funny anymore. It's very sad the way he is portrayed even more when he almost died trying to lose weight.
my chat is, why didnโt she first make sure that Shi Yan is ACTUALLY her uncle, she heard it from that girls…
YES!! since they're very close now, she could ask him or someone (maybe shi yan's assistant or professor yu) if that girl is really part of shi family. BUT our dear shu yi is truly the queen of miscommunication, she isn't? sometimes don't even seem like she is a journalist because she is so naive in this case
Oh I realized only in episode 23 that she thinks Qin Lezhi is Shi Yan's niece! Everything makes sense now, why she wanted to get close Shi Yan and etc hahaha I think I was lost in translation in some point and didn't came back to see what left me confused ๐ ๐
Shen Ruoxin and Qi Xiao are one of my favorite fictional couples. That said, of course I loved the special but…
But it's so funny and cute to watch that my negative points didn't influence much in the end. I watched the 3 episodes with a smile in my face almost all the time. It's a very much welcoming ending to their story and I honestly didn't understand why it wasn't the show official's end.
Shen Ruoxin and Qi Xiao are one of my favorite fictional couples. That said, of course I loved the special but I was hoping to see more of them together in this but it's instead a bunch of misunderstandings. In episode 2 they barely interact! And I wanted so much to see the moms reaction to the proposal. Ruoxin's mom would be so happy! ๐
Who else is low keyed annoyed with Bi Shanshan?! I am getting a tad bit sick of the game she is playing. Can she…
I'm not low key annoyed, I'm totally annoyed! I don't understand her anymore, I thought they had a agreement that they only make out with no strings attached and ok, I understand maybe it's not enough anymore to her but it clearly it's not enough anymore to him! He wants to stay with her and why they don't talk about it and give a real chance to their relationship instead to both be awkward every time they meet again?
They're really taking the miscommunication plot to the limit, didn't they? In main couple, second couple... The only couple who talks more clearly is nephew-professor hahahha
By the way, I think Mr Guam/Kwan's wife is the magazine's director and they kinda hide their relationship to not influence in both of them jobs. It'll be funny if true. ๐
I think I didn't get the reason why she is so persistent over him? Like being all cute and clingy without truly like him. I guess I lost something in the way.
Wow, this week episodes was really great! Loved the way Nam Soon is so smart to acting like she's unbothered about what Shi Oh says. Loved the mom's realization that she didn't see what is happening with her own son. Loved that Nam Soon and Hee Shik are getting more closer. And loved the fake Nam Soon is getting a redemption arc, I really hope she keep in this way.
The way everyone talks with Nam Soon's brother, Nan In, is disgusting. All they say is how he's fat and that he's smelling like food. I know skorea have a fatphobic culture and it's not the beauty standard, but ridicule him time after time is too much. Not to mention the fact that he is neglected by his mother all the time. I mean, even the sick uncle is treated with respect, you know?
I think maybe Hee Shik conversation with Nan Soon about his late brother makes her pay attention to hers and be the first one to notice the way he is treated and his possible upcoming drug addiction.
episodes 3 and 4 were awesome, but I didn't like 5 and 6 very much besides the fact namsoon and heeshik are getting closer and I love them together. but I'm not sure if I like the plot that namsoon have to be a hero, like her mother said, or something like that. I mean, if my daughter, that was missed for so long, appear again, I would never leave her side or let her be in dangerous situations. and the fatphobic treatment they give to namsoon brother makes me very uncomfortable.
