Hey, guys! I'm thinking of watching this for the romance. I hear the romance between Mihyun and the guy she's…
I didn't think there's enough romance to be honest, I started to watch because I read there's some amazing couples, but got disappointed in that way. Mihyun and Dooshik are past history, so we already know they aren't together what makes everything kinda sad to me. And the couple I liked most, Heesoo and Bongseok, don't have more than just a strong friendship and a little flirt. That said, if you rely in romance to watch, maybe you get disappointed. But the main story is more interesting, I think the greatest part of is the parents and their kids relationships.
It was suggested to me a long time ago and it took me a while to watch it because the opinions about it were kind of bad. But, if I can make a suggestion, watch it and take your own conclusions. It's quite sexually explicit, which scared me (someone used to watch rom-com kdramas) a lot at first, but it made sense for the proposal it has. I thought it touches on the wound of how men view and treat women in an interesting way. I liked seeing how Sakura and the other wives discovered and freed themselves from their "fishbowls" little by little. I found the ending satisfying, important for what the protagonist needed and ends in a hopeful way for what I really wanted it to have been. I really liked it.
Now that this Drama is finally over, can someone spoil me the ending and answer some questions:1.was it happy…
Happy ending, but the other questions don't really apply because there's no romance throughout the show. FL likes SML and ML develop feelings about FL, but nothing happens during the episodes. But its totally ok because isn't the point of the show, they (and us) don't even have time to think about romance because there's a lot happening at the same time.
I had suspect that was Mr. Shaman a few episodes ago, when Ye Bun finds him at the congressman office, but for some reason I thought it was too obvious and let that go. Then I thought it was him, but possessed with General MacArthur or other ghost, what would explain the black images, cause, I thought, even he can't see. But omg, the way he are a f*ckin psycho and had pleasure while done the murderers caught me off guard. I'm truly disturbed and felt betrayed! hahahah By the way, someone knows what happened to his kid? I think I missed this detail.
FL being ridiculous to break up with him, all it matter is present and all she need to do is stay by his side…
I agree but I think that is the whole point of the show. They both have to understand their past to overcome and break the curse together. I think they get their famous-dorama-break-up-close-to-the-end ®️ just to realize they need to be together to figure out what caused the curse and break that for good.
Mine is something like Tale Of The Nine Tailed, since the past Hong Jo was a sorceress or shaman in her past life. I think maybe she was possessed by someone evil our her powers get uncontrol that was his only 'choice' kill her, or smt like that.
It's very funny, unpretentious and unserious. But it's so lovely! I watched in 2 days, loved the enemies to friends to lovers of main couple and loved the bad boy-good girl plot in second couple. Also loved the fact the main couple sometimes wear color matching clothes when they are falling more in love. I liked a lot, but only watched because Netflix Br was about to take it off. 😅 Wish had watched sooner!
Why is the guy calling the girl "unnie"? Can someone explain. I'm a little confused.
It's because his sister, who is Ok Hee's friend, calls her "unnie". Since he started to go to the girl group reunion replacing his sister, he calls Ok Hee the same way his sister and other girls do. 😅
It was so confusing but when things started to make sense... oh my God. I had to give me some time from the end of episode 10 and to start episode 11 because I was so disturbed by the revelation that I couldn't go on. I found the plot interesting and it gets me curious and willing to watch more and more.
Well, I can say people are right about 2nd couple. Their story is kinda interesting when they are in town, but when they came back to country city, it becames like a spin off inside the show. The story didn't seems to fit in with the main story and they don't even have the charisma or chemistry like the leads, and it gets boring and boring. I tried hard not to skip but I wasn't interested at all in those two.
But the leads... Oh, I have to say I loved Mei Ren. She is so funny and smart but also naive and annoying sometimes, but not in a bad way. Its all makes sense with the character and with she wanted to do. My only complain is when they want us to believe Esther Yu is ugly! Nonsense! Esther and Bin Bin chemistry are great, but I think its misused with all the misunderstandings they gone through. Despite that, from episode 32 onwards they have great scenes and almost all screen time. It's a good show, not great as others I saw, but I had fun while watching.
I have to say I am more amazed by the acting of Dylan Wang being Esther Yu in Love Between Fairy and Devil, because I honestly thinked sometimes when I saw her "Ooh this looks like Dylan" but then I realized its only looks like Dylan because he was acting like her! (I still didn't finished the show tho, I'll came back with my thoughts about it later)
she forgot about them entirely because if she had never remembered her past lives, then she would've never ran…
I truly understand everything, I just not liked the ending. I think if the all 'lose memory' plot was in the ending of ep 11 and in 12 they had space and time to them reconnect and explain to us how she lived after forgot all her life (because its not just her past lifes and the people related to it, but she didn't had a house without Ae Kyung and her job was with Seo Ha), maybe it would be better and less frustrating.
To me the ending was so unfair with the people who love her! I mean, she could forget the things about her past lifes, but at least she could remember that she was Cho Won's best friend, Ae Kyung's niece and Seo Ha's girlfriend. She even lives in Ae Kyung's house, where was she living when she lost her memories?? Everyone in the end seemed creepy and stalkerish with her, Seo Ha mainly, it's kinda disturbing when you think she is just a "normal girl" at the point and gets interactions like that.
I liked the journey watching this, but I didn't like the destination.

(But not enough to steal Lee Yeon's place as #1 fox in my heart hahaha)
