I was confused about her combusting too but thinking of it, remember she changed the timeline. Instead of her sect being killed like in ep 1, she combusted instead. A different event had to replace the old time line. Not sure if I thought that right.

I agree with this assessment. I definitely felt the first thirds till a bit after the bore dream were good. I personally think the immortal arc was the weakest plot due to the cuts needed to be made.

Was this an edit error? In episode 37 when the spider demon was tasting TTJ blood his evil bone was shown. Then next scene Di Mian was putting the evil bone to activate the distress array. I thought TTJ didn’t have the evil bone then.

I rewatched that episode around 20:20 mark n episode 15 the devil god just said I’ll seal you for bretraying. I guess it wasn’t clear whether he was dead or not till later on we saw him chained up.

Yeah I think this was confirmed in episode 32 when Li Susu meets Di Mian in person the first time. He used his powers to furthe shield her when she was going into the abyss. Same episode where she realized the other voice was Di mian and not Ji Ze.

It was also mentioned later that when his ex wife died, she became the Chong yu harp, maybe he was also able to sense that when Li Su Su used it when she entered the barren abyss in episode 10.

I’m thinking because Jize’s voice was different than Di Mian. She met Jize a few times and in the dream so maybe she was able to deduce the other voice was Di Mian after his explanation.

After rewatching the drama again, there is a part I don’t fully understand. In episode 32, she mentioned about the lighting punishment damaging her spirit (Where she was Ye Xiwu and died exchanging her divine essence for the evil bone). I don’t quite understand where she mentioned she would combust into flames and would need to rest 10 years. Did that lightning punishment damage her primordial spirit when she was Ye Xiwu? How often would she randomly combust? She came out of her punishment later on fine (except her cultivation dropped because of the evil bone)? Is she basically not at her full power because of the lightning punishment from the prior episodes? Maybe if someone could explain this bit to me would be great!
