That would be very interesting, maybe reincarnation universe could help create such a setting. The end of the first life is the beginning of the next one later in timeline... not that it's anything original, but worth the try :D

Yes, there are some exceptions, where I was overjoyed those didn't confirm the "general rule" of killing off at least one character. But if we're in historical drama, it is often used as a drastic twist of the story, if not main, at least secondary will be killed, making sacrifice, following beloved, or there is since the start pointed out inevitable death and pointlesness of the whole journey etc. :( Well, what to expect from drama with romance and little comedy right :D was just complaining it's a luck of the draw I guess, and I don't have much luck so far that's all.

I have just one big complain, why do Chinese kill off at least one main char or even whole main cast in BL series, that are generaly produced so rarely anyway? I take it personally!! I am very pissed and losing hope to have any good ending in chinese bl drama world.

Very well done, beatiful scenes, perfect acting and music completed the whole impresion very nicely. Sometimes I was a bit confused in some decisions mains made, sometimes a little plot holes appeared, but those were only details I will gladly overlook.

Gonna' camp here for the third season, this mini series found a special place in my heart, a better ending is what it deserves -_-

I was so looking forward to this series, yet overall I feel it was a bit rushed, or maybe the story as the whole might have been sloppily put together, who knows. Many pointless/stupid deaths too (except for one). On the other hand it had some very nice scenes, fighting and characters so I suppose it was not such a big disapointment to me as it may sound. Having it a bit more episodes to tell the story more fluently, it would do good to the series. Shame.

I love the donghua, so I can't wait for this drama :3

Finally finished the fourth ssn of donghua. There was one death, but not among the main four characters... but surpriiise, there is going to be a continuation, so who knows if the death is really final...

That is hard to explain, bcs there are just too many groups, but to put it simply, two main pairs are among the attackers of the tombs, the third pairing is in the guarding side. There are even many interesting side pairings too, among other characters. By cross pairing I meant a bit of shipping within the mentioned 3 pairings or with other side characters, but it's nth big. There is no same sex pairing to be more specific.

Actually I've watched 3 seasons and am still watching the last one, but so far, it seems all from the main might survive... will answer later, when I finish it whole :)

There are actually two main pairs and the third one in the other group, but there were some interesting cross pairings resembling a triangle in some cases :)
