Hmm, no one has everything under control. ZGD is the exciting, all-consuming relationship. She then jumps to "safety", to someone who gives her security, albeit too much. Her love is misplaced but in both she learns her needs and to set boundaries. She seems to be the eccentric type who enjoys idealizing love, ignoring red flags for longer than necessary. From her behavior with the first guy, it suggests self esteem issues despite being beautiful/from a good family/etc.
Haven't we all gone through these kinds of relationships? Some not to the point of having a kid with a toxic guy but I'm sure this is real for many women.

Those are literally 2022-2023.. go watch Joy of Life 2, it's better than the three you mentioned which are famous because of liulangs. Or if you want the OG, start with Taiwanese dramas, not Mainland China..
Honestly how can the writers write a mom like this. Just the mom makes it a whole melodrama where she runs off and causes worry for everyone else, but is solved by getting some attention and coddling.
Eps 11 and 12 were so triggering for me. FL's mother really embodies the woman who grew up poor and lacks EQ but genuinely loves and wants the best for their daughter. Even after getting insulted, she wants to go back to apologize because she think its best for MCH... but she just makes the problem worse with her temper.

They don't like her because of her reportedly diva behavior, stealing resources, rolling eyes at colleagues and seniors, playing on her phone in front of a producer her manager pleased by drinking till GI bleeding, always having NGs, etc. Ofc it may be true or not, but it's definitely not because just because of her acting a shitty character.
