Okay as an avid fan of The bride of the water god. I was epically looking forward to this. I am disappointed. So far this rendition makes me want to tear my hair and eyes out. I love the main main cast of actors (Nam Joo Hyuk, Shin Se Kyung, Im Ju Hwan). Though even though I like those actors how they are portraying their characters is also a little upsetting. Then add on the supporting actors that are leaving me with a lot of viewer rage. I know the series is going for a certain look, but I don't like it. We are two episodes in and I can't bring myself to like it... I could only watch the two episodes in their entirety's while thinking of what more can they do wrong. If I watch this drama the only way my opinion can get any better is hopefully Krystal and Gong Myung's appearance. Also I have to think this is just a drama with no ties at all to bride of the water god but thats difficult as Habaek constantly says who he is. I am not a hard to please viewer. (You can tell by my lowest ratings of shows being around a 8 and 5-7 reserved for terrible.) But I am feeling really depressed by all the hype I was feeling for this show and getting punched in the face with this lackluster. Even the cinematography made me sad, the OST isn't really super memorable either. As this is legitimately being written after 2 episodes I'll probably revamp this later on. Sara Rojas JULY 6 2017
