Doesn't the black goat mean something similar to a black sheep? The one that feels left out from the rest. Maybe…
That makes sense. Kurosawa might feel like the black sheep of the family for being gay? Or standing out from the rest makes him always feel lonely? Thank you for your idea!

So I have been rewatching episode 5 and just noticed in this episode that it seems kurosawa is avoiding adachi.…
Kurosawa jus tries to act neutrally. He is not the type that chases person he likes openly like we all know that throughout the series. He also feels guilty because he interfere in Adachi's life too much.

I've always thought that the usage of voiceover thoughts was a lazy way to tell the story, but for the first time…
Me too. Normally I don’t like watching series or movies having too much voicover explaining things. But this series focus on mind reading ability so that story telling method is suitable.
Not expressing thoughts is Japanese culture right guys? That’s why the boss gets upset but doesn’t say why he is not happy. That’s why Kurosawa doesn’t show any emotions or actions that help Adachi knows about his secret love if Adachi can’t read mind. This show in general may be a wish of JP people that they can read other people’s mind to get along better.
