Thanks for this list. I'm still fairly new to Asian dramas. Started watching them sometime last year, and my first…
I relate to your aversion to popular things. Also, I can understand you not able to watch kdramas, I think it’s mainly because of the language. Even I tried watching a Chinese drama but I had to drop it too very early because I couldn’t get used to the language. If you want to watch a kdrama, I suggest you bear it for 1-2 episodes and then you might get used to the language.
This article is pure gold. I too have been following sky Castle religiously and yes that drama most definitely is the best of 2018. Even I was a little confused when I saw the camera moving from one’s hand to another and then I realised what was going on. You have written this article really brilliantly. One thing I am a little curious about is the piece of literature you compared it to. May I know what that is?
I haven't watched this show, but based on your description, I'd say Age of Youth could be consider a "similar"…
I think age of youth is way better drama than sex and the city. AoY is of the genre slice of life which deals with actual problems whereas this show was rather more of a childish romantic comedy. Although Sex and city has been my guilty pleasure for a very long time, comparing it to AoY would be of great injustice to the latter.
