I watched the japanese one and only watched the korean one a few years later. I like the korean one a bit more than the japanese, but they're both good.

ep 13 - at this point after reading recaps on dramabeans, I could just drop the drama here, but I don't know what else to watch and I don't like making it half way through dramas and then dropping them T_T it feels like so much time wasted!
there are some plots I'm interested it, but this drama is 20 episodes long!
I'm currently just skipping through ep 17-20

no wonder eun jo's mother looked familiar, she's in love rain! as a more likeable character, may I add

objectively speaking the second male lead isn't bad. he's kinda sweet actually. but.. he had a crush on the fl when he was what? 12? and she was 17 or 18 and then 8 years pass and he's still into this girl he liked when he was 12 even though they've probably changed over the years.. he's not a bad guy, but he's giving little brother and she treats him that way as well..

also - the ml and fl liked each other at the start of the drama, but did they spend enough time together to still be so in love after an 8 year time skip? the ml is seemingly the first person to be kind to the fl and they are similar in some ways as well.

well whatever, it's just a drama I guess.
(I'm on ep 13 and the romance is slowwly progressing.. )

I feel like hyo seon gets the short end of the stick a lot.. she has moments where her inner seol hee (king's daughter su baek hyang) shines through, but otherwise she's a character I feel sorry for sometimes
