The leads are married from ep 5 so they don't break up more they have a misunderstanding.. the male lead goes off to war afterwards but the female lead helps him win to prove that she loves him. The misunderstanding started because of somwthing the fl did to help her family. When they meet again they resolve the misunderstanding. So to answer your question it wasnt annoying for me.

suicide is selfish. I think depression in a way is selfish too. I've been depressed and suicidal. in general focusing on yourself too much makes you depressed and too self centered. this is just a general answer. not in mirae's case.
