I've wondered if I should watch this for a while now, but since there are mixed reviews and mostly bad from what I've seen..is this still worth watching?

I'm still on ep 1 although I've skipped through a bit while it was airing, but the message I got from seeing the ending scene of ae sun and gwang sik is that everyone has a story. even your grandparents, greatgrandparents etc were young and in love once and how life goes on and stuff. so even though it's not a typical "happy ending" I guess life is like that.

so this is in the time of Crown Prince So Hyun.. like tamra the island and my dearest as well.. does he die in this like in real life?

another drama from the 2000s (delightful girl choon hyang) reminds me of your comment. at first it started out lighthearted and got so melodramatic in the end.
