One majorly underrated masterpiece is HITTG (Heard it through the Grapevine). It has romance, real life depictions of classism, shows strength, what it means to have just one person support you in life and a great dose of dark comedy/satire. The overall performance and story is unique.
It is a perfect example of age not being an assurance for wisdom. That even the young can be a lot wiser and stronger than the old. I always watch it at least twice a year lol.
