Only got me hooked for the first few episodes, then it just went downhill. The plot became so flat and repetitive. Like how many times do we need to see the same "lost in the mountains, saved by random village people, now let’s farm and suddenly find a way to solve the case" thing? It’s been done to death in c-dramas and this one added nothing new. I swear it’s like they just recycled an old script. Honestly I watched this for Liu Xue Yi but this is the second time I got baited by a strong start and ended up disappointed. Same thing happened with Kill Me Love Me. Great start, then everything turned into nonsense. He’s a really good actor but the script totally let him down. Also I didn’t feel any chemistry between the leads in either drama. Just bland. I really hope his next project gives him something better to work with.

@Tibbs She has every right to do what she wants, but even she feels comfortable not accepting XW's gift or attending the party because she think XW as her friend and its okay for her to do so. That isnt right. Its fine for friendship to be based on our mood, but being a real friend doesn't mean we can treat them depend on our mood (imagine if to know our friend refused our gift just because it's a wrong birthday date and seeing them accept another person's gift even out of politeness). However, JXN accepted ZZ's gift not only for the reason that she didn't want to offend ZZ but also because she still so attached to their past and of course, shes still confusing about her feelings toward ZZ. I just hope her at least consider XW's feelings (not just XW, if her other friends did it I would say the same) because even in that situation he still trying to give her the best as he could have.

@Tibbs In 23-24ep, it seems to me that she's still uncomfortable with what XW has done ( because from the start, she mostly shows her real self, but she's gentler towards ZZ, which I understand because XW used to threaten her while ZZ never did, and another reason because she still feels guilty abt ZZ) I know they're the endgame but by sending back the gift, isnt it too much? (Just like the fake Dengfei said 'in that kind of situation, no one care abt that small thing but XW did) and she also smiled happily when she received a gift from ZZ.
And as XW said 'Without him, she would have died many times.' She also knew what XW said was right, and she said by herself that XW always took good care of her, but still refused to accept XW's birthday gift ( whether the birthday is real or not, just accepting gift wont matter, while she can accepted ZZ gift then why not XW, since she knows that XW always protects her)
And just by JXN and XW's argument, I think she doesnt trust XW so much that she has to worry about whether its her real birthday or not, or should accept or refuse XW gift.
I hate the fact that she refused to accept XW's birthday gift or attend the birthday party, but after hearing ZZ's words, she quickly changed her mind.🙂👍🏻
