Hi there ! I didn't expect to get that much reactions, perhaps because I comment more often on series that already aired a while ago. I already answered a lot a people here, maybe you will get my point a bit better if you read it.

Hi, I get what you mean, I really think I cannot do anymore with cold male leads, I used to watch a lot of them too, but I just cannot turn a blind eye to this kind of behaviours anymore.

Hi ! Thanks for your reply ! I sincerely believe you, and it is made very clear since the fiest episode that the bad guy is Gao however in ep 7 he got freely humiliated in front of potential investors. Not being physically violent doesn't he is not mentally violent. I get it that "he was right" but he didn't even try to comunicate, and having a difficult childhood can explain things but certainly not excuse them. Well that's my point of view.
I will maybe also nuance my thoughts by the fact that I fell like a lot of recent dramas seems to pictures relations where the man is always right while I got used to series like The Romance of Tiger and Rose where the subtext is really nuanced and give a real feeling of gender equality and mutual help. I really struggle to finish more recent chinese dramas.

I sincerely believe you, the first episodes seemed to go this way that's why I really tried, but I just watched 5 episodes of him being horrible with everybody and the moment you think it gets betters he humiliates Gao right in front of potential inverstors. I get it that Gao is the bad guy of this series but at this point on the series he did not deserve such a treatment. There where million ways to communicate correctly and handle this case without being super humiliating (I am a developer myself so I am used to team work). Maybe I just cannot watch series with cold male lead anymore, I don't know, but this series is a no go for me. (And I am the first being disapointed since I was really eager to watch this show,)

I really liked ep 1 and decided to keep going because I was curious but now that I am at ep 7, I am going to drop this series. Which par of the male lead is good seriously ? He acts like a jerk, humiliates everybody and the show keep giving him reason. At this point all I am wishing for is for him is to meet a major setback and understand that being intelligent is cool but useless if he acts like an assh*le.
Maybe he will eventually stop being a jerk but the present time episode see to prove the contrary, and I don't have the energy to watch a show where I hate the ML for most of the time.

Really wanted to watch it because the story is nice and fluff (I watched 7 episodes), but the sound editing is just horrible (including the music and the voice over) plus if you watch it on Youtube, the music is often cut off.

Stopped after 6 episodes... Usually I like this kind of stories but here I can't help but think the ML is toxic toxard the female lead. I mean, he is not chasing her, he is litterally forcing her to do so much things with some stupid rhetoric ! Not even talking about the stalking ! Even if the female lead sometimes tells him "dude I am a adult , I don't need you", the drama processes it as if she was unconsious and the male leas is absolutely right.
Most of the time I pass through theses acts becauses I just want to relax but everything here reeks like paternalism and when I pass through one action an other one comes right behind it

It's just my opinion here, so if you enjoyed the show I'm glad for you, because the tone of the story is light hearted and must have felt very conforting :)
