With so many bad reviews, I was expecting a disaster. Honestly though, it's pretty enjoyable. It's funny and charming in its own way, just watch it to enjoy it and you'll be fine. The show's not perfect, but it's not nearly as bad as the rating indicates it is.
I'm kind of surprised by the fact that finding blood for the emperor was hard. AB- is rare, but it can also receive blood from AB-, A-, B-, and O -. For there to be no match for the emperor the hospital would have to be out of all blood with RH -, which seems unlikely considering it was supposed to be a large hospital. I'm not that knowledgable about the subject, so if anyone could clarify that would be helpful.
Just want to clarify before I start watching, she gets married to the king, but then falls in love with the bodyguard...? Like why would she search for true love and happiness when she's already married? Did I misinterpret the drama description?
I kind of hate how he became cured at the end. It just feels too unrealistic, especially since this is a real condition that many people suffer through. A magic cure is a bit too much even for kdramas. If this was a fake illness like the Pinnochio syndrome in Pinnochio, a cure would be fine, but taking a currently incurable illness and giving it a magical cure is a too fantastical and a bit cruel. Maybe it was necessary for the plot, but the guilt thing could have been resolved in another way. I could also be overthinking this too, but that's what my initial reaction was.
It would have also been nice if they had expanded Seo Do Jae's conflict on society's perception vs his love when Han Se Gye was stuck as an old man.
