Regardless of whether you like DS or JP more, the writer never set JP up.
Episode 1: cherry blossom petal flies over JP and lands on DS - this is the most obvious one
Episode 2: when Dosan appears at the networking party, the words on the screen is about sailing through a storm, you can check out the book - general theme of the drama
There are many more which I cba to list out.
JP represents: successful, established, safe, calculated DS represents: unaccomplished, uncertain. He is the start-up.
When DM’s father wanted to sail off and start a new company, their relationship fell apart because his wife did not support him and preferred to be safe.
When DS wanted to do Noongil, he had full support from DM. When DM wanted to bid on the project, again JP gives the safe advice like he always does. DS gave her the final push and say it’s worth a shot, and in the end they succeeded. I'm not saying that JP's advice is always wrong, or that all risks are worth taking, you still need to be smart about it.
BUT the dynamic between DS x DM is intended to contrast DM’s parents relationship and how they have each other’s full support. Their goals are one the same and they will strive to make it happen.
You can shade other aspects of her writing all you want, like how it was draggy or underdeveloped characters, but saying she changed endgame is really not it.
Hello. Interesting statistic! Why did you group 1-6 together? Let's try 1/10, since a hater would pick that instead.Percentage…
Go ahead, you don't need my permission for that, it's available data.
In fact, compiling the full chart/range would be the best, but I was lazy. People then can make conclusions without cherry picking stats.
Also in my opinion, 4-6 might be low, but it's a score I'll still objectively give. Now, 10/10 is obviously a bit of a stretch, but it's not that far off from a reasonable rating of 9-9.5. 1/10 is where you know it's hating for real.
Hey everyone it's logic time!A poster has recently made me realize, is Start Up being rated too low? Now, people…

Percentage of people who rated 1/10:
Start-Up - 4% The King: Eternal Monarch - 1% Record of Youth - 1% Oh My Baby - 1% Dinner Mate - N/A Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol - 1% The Game: Towards Zero - N/A Forest - 1% Backstreet Rookie - 3% The School Nurse Files - 1% Meow, the Secret Boy - 1% Rugal - 1%
Based on this list, Start Up is above average in terms of "Hater" ratings. In fact it has the highest! It's logic time ;)
it was a good show but I lost my interest when started that Aquiring something topic. Nam Do San is a character…
Hey I just wanted to bring this up because I just had a discussion with someone who didn't realize the difference in spelling and thought it was a typo or something.
Acqhire, or acquihire. It's a combination of acquire + hire. Acquiring a company just for the talent and staff and not their product.
Not all things were done right in this drama but I appreciate that they tried to fit in some of these industry practices.
it's good to create your own judgments right? without the influence of others
I really think this is groupthink fuelled by social media.
This is a very small sample size, but I've shared this drama to a few friends who are casual watchers, they're liking it a lot and also rooting for the main couple.
Hopefully after it finishes airing, more people will appreciate this show! People who'll watch the episodes without needing to spend days and weeks in social media / episode threads waiting for the next episode, and in the process getting influenced because of wrong expectations regurgitated in those spaces.
640k views already! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fajKpCEh8lQ50k views and this video will surpass in 2 days…
From the drama we see DM at the pilot episode faking everything because she didn’t want to lose to her sister. We also see IJ who goes to bid against Morning Group because of emotions, needing to prove something.
And now here we are, mass streaming... yes, a Swoon video to surpass another video. GOTTEM HAHA! Guess you lot did learn something from this drama. God you could not make this shit up.
one thing that really bothers me is the lack of reaction on SDM's part regarding the letters reveal. she cried…
DM was never "head over heels in love" with an actual person. It was her ideal imagination of a guy. You have to understand that when the only time DM spent time with a "boyfriend" by her side it's with the actual DS, and it was during the highest of highs and lowest of lows (in our character's shoes, these memories are also more recent so they bring more emotional impact).
I can easily see how neither side wanted to bring up something which has become hurtful for her. In JP's case, it makes even more sense, he'd never want to be the one to bring it up because he knows it's a topic that will hurt.
In DM's case, it's also easy to see why she might not want to revisit them when she doesn't need to. Don't you have ugly pasts that you don't really wanna go back? It doesn't have to be real ugly but not everyone is confrontational like that, when you think of unpleasant things you just want to leave it like that.
I know I have had conflicts with acquaintances, that we never really "resolved" and just kinda grew out of it with time. We never mentioned anything of it but our relationship remained.
Boring and unenjoyable. Also felt like most of the time, I was just watching the male protagonist putting on a blank face, being stupid while showing narcissistic traits. I couldn't find anything interesting or redeemable that made me want to root for him.
