On the verge of dropping this because of FL's annoying friend. It's just silly how much they let this friend walk all over our leads.
I'll probably still finish it because Yang Chaoyue is just gorgeous and the ML and her are cute together. Would have dropped this if I didn't love their visuals this much.
Excellent cold open in the first episode. The first 5 minutes set really high expectations for me.
It lacks a little in the whodunit aspect but the storytelling more than make up for it. Finished it without ever feeling bored at any point, and you can really feel the emotions. 9/10
Not very impressed with the whole 3 years, Xu Lina not moving on and the Lao Gao confession scene.
I know that this was always going to be the Li Xun show - and I absolutely love him and Zhu Yun together, they're adorable and the main reason I look forward to watching everyday. But so far the way Gao has been (reduced to ALWAYS getting the short end of the stick - he only exists to be miserable and spiteful) feels poor.
It's a miracle I lasted 8 eps, half the time I get annoyed by the leads. The ML's interactions are so frustrating and his story/condition just doesn't click. Show also failed to make me care about SML at all. Only saving grace is I do like watching Minyoung in general and am still quite curious to see her inevitable showing among the elites.
I think this drama peaked before the half. After like episode 20+ it got kinda draggy and I had to FFW a lot - probably because I wasn't invested at all in the side couples' stories. I'm still giving it a 9 because overall the main story was just so wholesome and enjoyable.
+ One of the most wholesome and healthiest main couples. They are adorable. - Second couple was terrible and almost ruined it for me. The guy is as dumb as a rock (I think it's supposed to be funny, but it gets tiring after a while) and the girl isn't much better.
This had an interesting premise and was wrapped up beautifully imo, which makes the watch really worth it if you're in for a love story and can get/accept the comedy. I can honestly rewatch the final episode multiple times. Glad I gave this a try.
Just finished this one. There's a lot to nitpick for sure, and you'll have to suspend your disbelief often times. But the main leads and their besties made the whole thing enjoyable. I loved the main couple and how their fates were intertwined, and their scenes did make me feel the emotions.
This drama was not good.. Still baffled why JCW and KYJ chose to participate when they should be starring in dramas of higher calibre.
Stay away... unless you're a huge fan of the actors, then maybe you can watch it like a random night time comedy without expectations. I still finished the drama because I love watching KYJ, even though her character in this show is just whatever (same with JCW's character).
I'm surprised by how much I loved this show! (because the rating here isn't particular high). Light hearted, satisfying, does not drag issues for long.
Not a complex show by any means, but each episode I felt the characters more and more and loved how their relationships organically unfold.
I am kinda disappointed and really wished they took a different approach to resolve the main couple's storyline at the end. I was very invested in their relationship the whole time up to ep16 but the finale fell really, really flat. Especially comparatively when the journey leading up to it was great albeit slow paced.
Still, this wasn't a bad drama and I do not regret watching it.
Am I the only one who absolutely ADORED the male lead and female lead? I just swoon every time they're on screen together. I need more of them cuties! God knows how many times I rewatched their scenes. <3
There were a lot of reasons why NDS is endgame. Unfortunately most of those reason had to do with marketing and…
DM's dad got the investment deal on the same day he received the money from grandma. So no you're wrong, he was on track to succeed in the end.
The show did a good job by introducing the whole bankrupt scene to illustrate:
1. Sailing without a map you might have rough days: dad was struggling and on the verge of failure before he got a call from Director Yoon who wanted to proceed with the investment
2. Grandma had integrity and never intended to steal JP's money to give it to her son
3. JP automatically accuses Grandma of stealing the money and got mad, this shows his skeptical nature due to his tough orphan background
Here is why I'm convinced there was a plot change. It addresses your point about the cherry blossom. https://twitter.com/Jeonggal_/status/1328583037769101315
I think you missed my point. I'm arguing that the writer never changed the endgame. Foreshadowing could always be wrong, but it wasn't in this case. The writing and direction's motivation was clear from the start.

"Is it possible that wind of fate blew the cherry blossom petal but it took a detour? It landed on Dosan, but remember that it was Jipyeong's fortune told at the beginning of the drama. That wind was directed at him but maybe it took a wrong turn."
That doesn't convince me. Drama shows petal landing on DS head. And the only argument here is "maybe it's a wrong turn..."
It doesn't matter if the writer tells Jipyeong's story first. The last scene before we follow the petal's path was Dalmi writing a letter. Then we see the petal flying past JP and landing on Dosan. Dalmi ends the episode with "It's time for me to find you, Nam Do-san".

This is pretty clear cut if you ask me.
