I get it. you know how shocked I was too when that scene happened in novel?it seemed totally out of sangyan character and this change they did was good I do agree that they shouldn’t have added the time jump but then again trauma doesn’t go away easily and that right now was the only thing wyf could do.

I can’t imagine what all you had to go through and it’s really hard to even think of what all you suffered but I can’t thankyou enough for opening up as well because it gave me so much insight and helped me understand her character even more and how correctly it was depicted in the novel to the fact you can personally relate as well. and you’re absolutely right about it being her decision to heal herself and I’m glad you had the courage to open up to your partner and now he and your mom regardless of painful memories can provide you solace in your hard times🤍

whenever I stop and think of her suffering I can’t help but tear up and the fact so many women are molested, SAd in daily basis and sometimes we don’t even hear all the stories because of fear of them opening up and not being heard which wyf had to go through just pains me to pieces. the only one hope is that there’s always someone watching over you and being strong always benefits you at the end. wenyifan thankyou for being strong and staying safe even when there was misery and pain everywhere around you. I have to give props to the director and screenwriter for portraying trauma so well because if she suddenly did open up to sangyan how would we be able to understand her more and get a more in depth personality of her character? this is probably a great take on the trauma of a survivor and shows how each one has their own healing time period and responses to trauma. to the people who aren’t able to understand at a point I feel glad because nothing this bad has ever happened to you but at one point I feel horrible because you can’t empathise and see a person who was brutally antagonised by her family and a person who had no one on her family side who still regardless of everything decided to open her heart to sangyan and still live her life with painful memories

I hope so because some people are just pissing me off and to think most of people watching this are women so you’d think they’d understand where wyf came from.. but no🙄
