the whole side couple romance didn’t exist in novel and the childhood best friend (liang) who has a crush on wenyifan didn’t have a crush on her, there are few small changes too like wenyifan didn’t meet dian jiaxu so soon and in ep7 they didn’t fire fireworks together.. there are few more short changes but these are the main ones
God I know it’s painful but I keep on rewatching the scene where sangyan is drenched in rain sitting in his chair… BJT side profile is so hot.. how can one look so good while being miserable😭

I get you so much! for me the only shows which have done adaption justice is this show and study group🥹 the director here did an amazing job staying true to the novel and the changes he did make are so cute too, legit no fault.

according to the novel, there’s no misunderstanding and breakups. there are petty fights but those are banters, it’s just for funny comical elements so don’t worry! Their dating era is the cutest.

Ep 7 felt like such a warm hug.. I know people are saying this show is dark but imo it has its light moments too and that’s why I always look forward to the flashbacks and the epilogues towards the end of each episode. just shows that even though we may have a lot of struggles in our lives there’s always something to look forward to🥹 I personally love the vibes so far and hence im seated and never leaving the restaurant 🥳

they made it official on sangyan’s birthday jan 2 in novel because I recall them talking about the best gift he ever received in his birthday and he said it was her so if im correct it would be sangyan’s birthday

this show is literally serving shared cohabitation,second chance romance,slow burn, REAL ANGST,stolen glances, insane face cards and chemistry, perfect osts, great pacing. oh the first frost, they could never make me hate you<33
two eps feel so short it should be illegal.. they really know how to make us feel all the emotions and I’m still here thinking about them 😭 my honour, I love them so bad send help😩
