im so excited for this! I love Holland and I love Han Gi Chan!

Okay I'm reading back on my comment and I realized I sound sort of bitter. I was just really upset at that moment when I saw the poster. I don't mean to shade the other drama at all, I'm just frustrated :-;
I hope anyone who is excited for TTEOTM is not offended, it was wrong to compare the two when I'm just sad about HYX.

I am excited for another LYX drama but its just too sad....he has filmed 3 dramas after HYX but no news of HYX airing :(

it has the same studio, same costume designer, and even same screenwriter :-: They also got one of the leads
The premise is also similar to HYX....
I hope HYX airs before this comes out, else there will be people accusing HYX of copying it or smth ahhhhhhh

oh my god I feel like crying I've been waiting for this show for way too long... I just read up on the Yanxi Palace thing- and it was banned 4 days after the Beijin daily wrote an article on it. I am praying that somehow HYX will at least be release internationally or as a webseries or something- they can't scrap the whole drama before it airs right??

lmao I started Wu Chang Jie around early August thinking that I'd have something distract me until HYX released, and now I've finished Wu Chang Jie and reread 2HA for the 4th time, and still no HYX :(

I finished the whole thing. If you like 2HA, I think you will find it interesting, as it has some similar themes (but stories are really different). The whole misunderstandings, abuse and everything, all that good stuff.
The plot is good, full of twists and turns, but when it comes to the CP.... well I'm just not very fond of the ML. He doesn't really get much development, but its understandable in the context of the novel.
MC is pitiful and really good though, I really like him. Side characters also really nice and interesting.
It's angsty, but not as angsty as 2HA, but there are still knives.

Overall really good read, but there's 280 chapters, so it'll take some time (unless u binge read in 3 days like me lol)

The first place I'll come and scream is here, but I think the site might crash from the amount of people waiting XD

I like both SPL and 2HA, but I am more hyped for HYX mainly because of Luo Yunxi, and all the leaks I have seen- which just get me so excited! The actors chemistry seems so good and costumes just fantastic! I don't really know anything about SPL LA, so I'm not that hyped.

And TXJ definitely is changing, there's this part in the extras where he starts raising some plants, and he calls them his "children", but he doesn't know how to take care of the plants so they die, and he gets really upset, it was kind of endearing and really surprising too, to see TXJ , a tyrant in his past life, cry over some plants.

So I definitely think the souls will merge at one point :)

I also agree that eventually, they will become one. I always felt that the reason why TXJ and MR 2.0 didn't merge, was because they were two different people. Same soul, but at different points in life, where they had a different outlook, a different way of thinking, and everything. TXJ represents the immature MR, the MR that never had a chance to grow past the age of 16 and became rooted in his hatred and immaturity. The soul could not combine because of this.

But now, TXJ has a chance to grow, free from the flower's effects. He has that chance to finally mature, and become a good person like he was always meant to be. So as TXJ grows, I think the 2 souls will merge because they have finally become the same.

That's also why I think CWN doesn't have the whole split soul/ personality situation even with his 0.5 memories, because CWN was fundamentally always the same. Caring, righteous, and loved MR.

I swear the scriptwriter had such a galaxy brain for making him the imperial Qin player in the drama. That pretty much means he's a concubine, but without saying it explicitly, and passing censorship. All my respect for the person who came up with that, instead of just making him a regular prisoner
