i didnt know komi san had a live action adaptation, loved the manga and was waiting for the anime. I maganed to track down a raw version (good thing I started learning japanese before I got into anime)of the first episode and i gotta say, other than the expected "you dont have to do it EXTACTLY like the manga" scenes im enjoying it so far.
'Bad actors for Japanese manga-adaptations'.... xDUsually if the manga has a HUGE fan-following they recruit actors…
well yeah, sometimes the main actors are "recognized" actors with a fan base, but its mainly because of their physique and level of attractiveness and not because theyre actually good actors, not to say its always the case, but yeah, japan's need to make actors make such over the top and cartoonesque expressions doesnt translate well to live action and it ruins the immersion. which is sad because some stories have great potential but get ruined.
while I haven't given it much thought, internally I just assumed they'd make Chinese covers of the original songs XDXD which in essence would be the most faithful thing to do, but.. who knows, maybe a new tracklist would be good, (trying to be positive) we'll have to wait and see. I don't know about the censorship, as long as politics are kept out of it things should be fine. in the end, I'm keeping realistic expectations. not waiting for a masterpiece just a good story and (ironically) cute badass punk nana XDXD
omg... im so glad I got into asian dramas XD for some reason I was under the impression that the manga had been completed, my life has been a lie xD Japan has a tendency to hire bad actors as long as their attractive enough for the role (mainly in regards to anime and manga adaptations anyway) to the point where the majority are unwatchable for me, (I've still seen a few lol) luckily korean manwha and Chinese manhua adaptations don't suffer this fate.
