I agree the way it was handled was weird. It didn't show or explain how they came to like each other but just suddenly somehow they do. It certainly could have been done better. And yes ML mom will definitely bring the hate out of you so maybe avoiding it is a good idea.

Honestly I get putting it on hold. I finished the original but there were definitely some things that bothered me. The romance was a bit awkward but didn't really bother me too much. It would have bothered me more I think if FL was with 2 ML because they did grow up in the same house as brother and sister raised by the same dad. But since ML and FL didn't have that connection and weren't really related at all it didn't really bother me because I have seen worse in real life. I know a woman who married a man just a few years older than her son then her son married his stepdad's sister and had kids with her so the uncle was also their grandpa. Another who divorced her husband then married his brother so her kids uncle became their stepdad and 2 step siblings who got married and had kids. So yeah I've seen all kinds so this story nothing in comparison lol!! But I can understand why people don't like it. But for me my biggest issue with the original is that they did forgive the moms and 2 ML's mom I can understand more her being forgiven because of her reason for being gone although I don't agree with her leaving him in the first place. But ML's mom was horrible and should never have been forgiven until the end she was a horrible person. I understand that she had hr issues but her treating her son that way plus the way she treated her ex husband, FL 2 ML and their dad was unacceptable. Warning it will probably cause you frustration if you watch it but if you want to see what all you missed you can give it a try if you'd like.

Yes!!! I'm glad she actually finally told him cause if she hadn't that dummy might never have figured out that she liked him. It does suck won't have much time with them as a couple. I too have grown fond of him.

I get it. And honestly I'll admit at the moment he doesn't even seem to be trying to find it. There's only 2 episodes left so who knows what kind of progress we will get with that if any.

That's right he did say that about college and the military. But again having his dream crushed and that being the whole purpose of him going to college he may have felt like there was no point in going anymore. Not saying that was a wise decision but you don't necessarily need a college degree to make something of yourself. There are famous people who are some of the richest in the world who have amazing careers and founded companies that either didn't finish or never attended college. Maybe he doesn't have another dream. A basketball player was all he ever wanted to be and he never thought beyond that. So he can't exactly pursue a dream if he doesn't have one. He needs to take the time and figure out something that he would like to be/do and then pursue it. I'm not too bothered by it because he has 800 million so he can take some time to figure out what he wants to do. If he had no money I would be bothered by him not having some type of job. But I can understand your frustration though. Even the dads seem worried about him not having a job.

They never really mentioned him finishing college. Perhaps he just gave up after his injury because that was his whole purpose for going away to college to hopefully get scouted for professional basketball. He might have just lost his way after that not knowing what to do. When you lose your dream that you have worked for your whole life it can be devastating. And they changed it because it is an adaptation not an exact copy of the original. But I get it others weren't happy about the career changes either especially FL's.

I think you have missed some stuff or misunderstood some stuff. He isn't a high school drop out and it never said he was. He graduated high school then went to America with his biological dad to go to college. He played basketball in college and injured his foot to the point that he had to have surgery and was told he could never play basketball again. He also told his dad when he came back to Korea that he worked in America he was a waiter during college where he got discovered by an agent and started modeling. He also modeled more than once he made 800 million that he wanted to give to his dad it even showed his bank account book showing he had 800 million. There is no way he made that much just modeling once. The dad wouldn't take the money so Hae Jun still has 800 million. OK so he doesn't have a career right now but it's not like he can't live and survive considering he has 800 million. He could even take care of his whole family with that. His whole life he wanted to play basketball that was the whole purpose for him to go to America for college because better opportunities for basketball players and for him to maybe make that his career. But then he got injured to the point that he can't play basketball anymore and has to be careful of the strain he puts on his foot or it could mess up again and even cause him problems with his leg and knee as told by Sanha a doctor. He had his life time dream crushed and destroyed so now he may not know what to really do with his life. It's ok for him to take some time and try to figure things out as long as he can financially afford to do so and he can. I really don't get how you got that he was a high school drop out who modeled only once. As far as the career changes all of their careers have changed from the original. Even 2ML playing basketball is different from the original. It's not an exact copy of the original it is an adaptation where in some things can be changed.

What Incest? They are not related by blood (which is the literal definition of incest) or legally related either for that matter. They were just neighbors who grew up together and were close.

This series will have 2 seasons. Each season having 16 episodes and focusing on 2 couples per season. So yes 32 episodes all together but not airing all at once.

He texted that to North but then unsent/deleted it. It shows two texts from Johan pop up on North's phone while he's sleeping. The first one says if you are tired go lay down properly. And the second one is don't do anymore part time jobs understood? But when North wakes up and check his phone it shows that the second text about not working anymore jobs had been unsent. It just said Johan unsent the message and North asked What? after seeing that Johan had unsent a message. That text was unsent before North could read it which is why he is still looking for jobs.

No he doesn't he did propose to marry but not out of romantic feelings. He was trying to purchase a property for their dad but was told that for him to be able to put it in the dad's name or something like that he had to prove their relation. So he asked Juwon to marry him so he would have something to prove he was legally related to the dad. Juwon turned him down of course and he quickly realized that was a stupid idea when his friend asked him if he had romantic feelings for Juwon or ever thought about holding her hand and kissing her and just thinking about it grossed Hae Jun out.

Pretty sure it's not someone in Sanha's family. In the Chinese version 2ML's mom didn't even know ML's family. In the Chinese version she killed a man in self defense because he was stalking her and tried to assault her.

OK all of this I can agree with. Because the initial conversation here was about Sanha and his mom when the OG ML was brought up I just thought you were calling him selfish because of his situation with his mom. I kinda feel sad and sorry for him because of the way he was treated by his mom it really messed him up. But that in no way excuses his behavior with Jianjian.

You are right this is different drama and we don't actually know what happened yet between Sanha and his mom. But she was shown to not be very reasonable either when he wanted to leave. Taking things back out of his suitcase when he was trying to pack and ended up causing him to cut his arm. He's an adult he should be able to leave anytime he wants. Personally I think he did good even taking care of her in the first place after the way she has treated him. Abandoning him and constantly blaming him for his sisters death not even considering the pain and torture he might have been going through because of his sisters death. When she was the one who left two small kids home alone. But she doesn't take any responsibility for that and puts all the blame on Sanha which makes her the selfish person imo. If that happened in real life where I'm from she would have been held legally responsible for her daughter's death and sent to prison because you don't leave young children alone and if you do then you have to take responsibility for anything that happens to them. But the reason I brought up the Chinese version is because in one of your above comments you stated that you didn't like the Chinese ML either that you thought he was unbearable and selfish. So my comment is actually relevant to that above comment I just posted my comment in the wrong spot. But you agreed that everything I said about OG ML and his mom was right. So my question remains the same how exactly was OG ML unbearable and selfish?
