She had the phone cut off so he couldn't call FL and every time he tried to write her a letter his mom tore it up. So he quit communicating with all of his friends from the village because he was scared of what his mom might try to do. When she finds out in ep 6 that he is talking to them again and was going to meet FL she threatened to have FL's family sent somewhere else by having her dad's job transferred far away where he wouldn't see the FL again. She caused a whole scene yelling at him and his dad the whole neighborhood heard it and made him go away to camp to keep him away from the FL. I can not stand her she is terrible. She even told him because he bought a red watch and wore it and she told him he couldn't wear it only wants him to wear everything black and when he said he liked red she said he wasn't old enough to know what color he likes. EXCUSE ME? He's a teenager I think he's old enough to know what color he likes.

And yes they gossip about the fl in episode 7 when they find out the truth about who she is. They gossip and spread rumors and try to get her and Yu Qiao in trouble with the teacher. The teacher doesn't like the gossiping and badmouthing so she says anyone that does it from now on will be kicked out of that class. Luckily his parents aren't shown at all in episode 7 but still have to deal with the stupid classmates.

The special episode should have completely different scenes. But at least we know we are getting a special episode just confused about why they used scenes that already happened to advertise the special episode. It's not really supposed to be allowed they are just taking a risk airing it on those platforms. Usually when BL's are aired in China they end up getting censored or cancelled. Blue Canvas of Youthful days went through that. It had already aired some episodes then the government pulled it and made it go through censorship. It did finally finish airing but it took like a couple of months for it to go through the censorship and get approved to finish airing. As far as I know any BL even from Thailand is supposed to be censored before being allowed to air in China. Maybe it's possible that some have slipped by unnoticed?

This series is postponed on every platform though by order of the writer and production team so it's not Viki's fault. Also they don't have anything to do with postponements anyways. Postponements come from the production team of series. Viki can only air them when they are given permission to do so.
