You're welcome it's nice to share opinions with others and see their perspective on things. Everyone won't agree on things but every one's opinion is valid and sometimes seeing the way others see or think about things can help you see it or think about it differently. At least for me anyways. I understand and appreciate your points and even agree with her coming across as a kid sometimes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me as well. This drama might not be for everyone just like any other drama but it's entertaining for me anyways. Hope you enjoy!!
You think that he is too young but she is a pleasure and he is older than she is lol!! The difference is she has…
I didn't get offended and i'm sorry if it seemed that way. I misunderstood you and thought you were comparing them that is my fault and i am sorry for that. I have seen people compare actors a lot though and it really bugs me lol i guess you could tell. On one drama a person actually commented that they should have cast a different actress and that it would be better without even watching the drama. Saying that they weren't going to watch it because it didn't have their favorite actress in it. Like seriously you haven't even watched it yet how do you know it won't be good just because it doesn't have a certain actor or actress in it? That is just assumption to think that it will be bad without certain actors. And maybe some actors won't do as good as others but that doesn't necessarily mean it will be bad. Sometimes you have to give things and people a chance. I agree that there are some actors who do really good even great their first time and others do not. Some need a little more practice and experience, but the only way they are going to get that is to keep acting and trying hard to improve. Terry Liu isn't the worst i've seen but yes he could use some improvement i just think he needs time and some more experience and he will be fine. Again i'm sorry for the misunderstanding.
You think that he is too young but she is a pleasure and he is older than she is lol!! The difference is she has…
Ok so what? No offense but why do people keep comparing i really can't stand that it bugs me so bad. The other person was comparing him to other actors saying that other actors were better and you are comparing him to another actor. They are not the same people you can't compare them. You know an actor that did great in his first drama in a leading role well that's great for him. I don't know what actor you are talking about but i am happy for him and think it's wonderful that he did great his first time. But he is a completely different person from Terry Liu so why compare them? People are different some people learn quickly and hone their craft quickly. While others may take a little longer. Does it really mean that the one who learns quicker is better? Not necessarily. Does it mean that the one who takes longer won't end up being great? No. It is unfair and wrong to compare people to each other because no people are the same whether it is actors or regular people. Everyone is different and people learn at different paces. That doesn't make one person better than the other. And even if Terry Liu and the actor you are talking about had been acting for the same amount of time it still wouldn't be right to compare them. Because they are still different people, 2 different actors are going to have 2 different acting styles. If you watch one actor expecting them to be like another actor and judging them based on another actor you are going to find faults because 2 different people are not going to be the same.
Just because you know 1 actor who did great in his first drama does that mean that Terry Liu and every other new actor has to be able to be great or do exactly the same as that actor? No it does not and to expect that is wrong. Expecting any new actor to be great their first or even second attempt is expecting too much. If they come in new and do great their first time then that is awesome but not everyone is going to be like that. Some need a little more time, practice and experience. I saw Terry Liu in his first drama also a leading role and didn't think he did bad but others might disagree and that's fine. Maybe he needs a little improvement, but give him a chance to have that improvement before you start comparing, judging and insulting. Don't mean you personally i just mean people in general. If he had been acting for years and had many roles and his acting was still lacking then i could understand. But to compare him to other actors and say that other actors are better after only his second acting experience and when the other actors have probably been acting for a long time or at least has more experience then him is just wrong. I know i certainly wouldn't want someone to compare me to someone else or say that someone is better than me just because i wasn't great or perfect at something after my first or second try. It can be hurtful and discouraging and is just plain rude in my opinion. Just because Terry Liu needs improvement or hasn't been great yet doesn't mean he never will be. If he keeps working hard he will get better. Give him time and a chance to improve and get better.
i might be in the same place as you....i came for the male lead but i'm not very interested in FL,she always looks…
The reason she smiles a lot she explains later on is that she tries to stay positive at all times even through the bad and hard times. So she puts on a smile even if it is a fake one. Plus when she first meets Gu Chaun he never smiles so she acts like that around him a lot trying to cheer him up and make him smile or laugh. But i agree sometimes it is a bit much like you said when she was looking at the stars and other times when she gets excited. She gets too excited and it does come across like a kid. And i don't like her hairstyle either it even looks like a kid. I am not crazy about her clothes either to be honest lol. This is how i see it, it's just my opinion of course though. I feel like at first her character does come off more like a little kid from her actions to hair and clothes. But after meeting and being with Gu Chaun over time she grows up more and matures. Acts more like an adult she doesn't become perfect but she improves. She doesn't really come across as a kid anymore she doesn't do that kiddy smile, even her hair and clothes are more grownup and mature. So i think being with him is what helps her to grow up and mature. For some reason Gu Chaun doesn't mind the way she is though because in one episode you may not have seen it yet but she says that she has room for improvement and needs to improve and he tells her that she is good being herself the way she is. Maybe it's his thing lol!!
But honestly her character doesn't bother me really despite her sometimes kiddish smile and behaviors. And i just came to accept and deal with her hair and clothes lol. She's far from the worst character i've ever seen. With her starting off like that kinda childlike and not really mature and kinda awkward at times it, shows more that she is human because she has flaws and weird behaviors that the fans get to see change over time. Rather then her starting off as perfect like a lot of characters i've seen in other dramas which is just not humanly possible. Which i know in drama it's not real so they can make the characters perfect but i have seen some that come off as way too perfect without a single flaw. And that just bugs me lol! don't really know why but when i see characters like that i think they could at least make it not seem so fake and unrealistic. But maybe that is just me. But i can understand tat her childlike expressions and her hairstyle don't work for you and that's perfectly fine. But rest assured it does get better slowly.
You think that he is too young but she is a pleasure and he is older than she is lol!! The difference is she has…
I didn't even know they had it on dailymotion i was going to watch it on yoyo english channel on youtube but they only have 14 episodes subbed so far. Thanks for the info!!! I will check it out.
You think that he is too young but she is a pleasure and he is older than she is lol!! The difference is she has…
I haven't actually watched this drama yet. I have been waiting till they all come out to watch them. But i may end up giving in and going ahead and watching because even though the last 2 episodes air tomorrow i need them with subtitles. Right now only 14 episodes have been subbed so will have to wait a while for them all to be subbed. But i did watch My Dear Lady the first drama he was in and thought he did pretty good for his first ever acting experience. It just kinda bugs me when people complain, judge or insult new actors. Some people expect perfection out of new actors and they expect too much. They need to give the new actors a chance to improve and get better.
i might be in the same place as you....i came for the male lead but i'm not very interested in FL,she always looks…
I can understand your preference but at the same time not all female or male leads have to be always cheerful, strong and intelligent. It is like that in so many dramas i honestly get tired and bored of seeing the same storyline of strong intelligent leads. That storyline makes it seem like the characters are too perfect when no one is perfect so i don't feel that even characters should be portrayed as perfect it isn't realistic at all. I know they are just dramas, but in my opinion having the characters always be perfect or strong or intelligent is just way too fake. So i actually really like that they switched it up in this drama and gave us a female lead that is lacking some. In some ways this drama is more realistic than others. Because they show in this drama that people aren't perfect and can be flawed and weak and not everyone can be super intelligent. It also shows that 2 people don't have to be perfectly matched in looks, personality, intelligence or any aspect really to fall in love. If characters start off perfect they have no where to go except down. Unless they somehow become more perfect which would be really annoying. I prefer to see a character with flaws because that is more believable and draws me in more. Plus if they start off weak and flawed it gives them room to grow and improve. But that's just my preference each person is different though.
i might be in the same place as you....i came for the male lead but i'm not very interested in FL,she always looks…
It doesn't really matter if she is cute. What they went through together bonded them and made a connection between them. And just because some people might not find a person cute doesn't mean other people won't. He obviously saw something in her and he definitely felt a connection from the beginning, because of their past. It's just a drama made for entertainment i don't understand why people have to try to analyze it. It's not gonna be perfect and it isn't going to be like real life. Plus other people don't need to understand why he vibes for her it's the same in real life relationships. People don't have to explain to anyone why they like the person they like. People are attracted to different things what attracts one person might not attract someone else. Plus he even told his ex in episode 17 that he looks forward to Xiao Ning's nonsense. So somehow he is attracted to her silliness and her acting cute and all her nonsense. If that's what he likes and makes him happy why should anyone else question it. I personally love the series and story, yes she is a bit over the top but the fact that after what they went through together they ended up coming back together. I think that is really romantic and i love stories like that. Like destiny brought them back together.
Plus maybe Gu Chaun is attracted to her for other reasons besides her looks. I mean there is more to people than looks. Some people are attracted to people because of the kind of person they are. If they are nice, kind, caring and have a good heart or a good personality. Being attracted to someone just for their looks is shallow. It could be the cutest most beautiful person in the world but be a horrible person who is mean and abusive. And it could be the least attractive person in the world but be the nicest and treat you like a king/queen. Me personally i would go for the one who treats me good. So what if Xiao Ning isn't the cutest so what if she acts or seems like a little kid trying to be cute maybe she acts that way to try to be funny or to try to make him laugh or smile. Either way as long as she is a good person that's all that should matter and she was a good person to everyone. Even when Su Man Li locked her up on the roof she was still nice to her even though she had every right to hate her. Maybe he vibes for her kindness towards other's and her caring heart and cares more about that then her looks or whether she acts silly. He even tells her a few times that she is over the top but somehow it doesn't really seem to bother him. Su Man Li acts more mature but she locked Xiao NIng on a roof and stole his design and tried to ruin his company and his reputation. I would rather him be with Xiao Ning and her silliness and trying to act cute than Su Man Li who hurts people just to try to get what she wants she was not a good person. He was attracted to the better person.
I thought the ML was too young for this role. I also found him expressionless most times - get it that he is young…
You think that he is too young but she is a pleasure and he is older than she is lol!! The difference is she has been acting for years and this is only his second drama. The more dramas he is in the better he will get, like they say practice makes perfect. But no one is going to be perfect their first or second attempt at something. People expect too much, i mean you said there are better actors his age. And yes i'm sure there are but they also have probably been acting longer than him. No other actor/actress is going to be perfect and be the greatest at only their first or second try. And if he was to never get a chance because people think he isn't good enough then he would never become a better actor. All actors have to make their start and although some might be pretty decent their first or second time none of them are perfect at it from the start. People really need to stop being so hard and judgmental on new actors and give them a chance and time to improve. I could understand if he had been acting for years and still wasn't good, but to judge him when it was just his second role ever. That is just wrong to me, judging people and making comments about their mistakes when they are first learning could discourage them from pursuing their dreams which isn't right.
They didn’t really break up. She was persistent with holding on.
They did break up he broke up with her then after she thought he had euthanised ice cream she told him to hit the breaks on their relationship. They didn't see or talk to each other for days he went away and she didn't even know where. And in episode 31 she says that they have broken up and she no longer has any hope. So how is that not a break up? How was that her being persistant? She only went to find him to convince him to get back together after she talked to his ex in episode 32 and the ex told her not to believe what she hears and sees to listen and follow her heart and not to give up. If some says lets break up, lets hit the brakes on our relationship and we have broken up i no longer have any hope that is a break up. Also after they get back together Xu Cheng Ran says they finally got back together. How could they get back together if they weren't broken up?
Keigo will go down in history as second lead with more screen time the love interest SoraWhen did Sora show up…
Yes i appreciated that too i wasn't expecting it either. I can tell Sora really cares about Manaha but i can also tell Keigo does too each in their own way. I like both Sora and Keigo for different reasons. I just really want Manaha to have more confidence in herself because she is good enough. The one character who i really can't stand is Yuri. But yes we will see what happens.
Keigo will go down in history as second lead with more screen time the love interest SoraWhen did Sora show up…
You are probably right in real life Sora would be the more ideal choice. And i'm not saying that i don't like Sora because i do. I didn't at first because the way he was all like Nope the first time he met Manaha i thought he was rude but then i saw the nice caring side of him and started to like him. And at first i thought Keigo was arrogant and wasn't crazy about him but after learning more about him i understand him better and like him more now. But like you said to each his own.
Keigo will go down in history as second lead with more screen time the love interest SoraWhen did Sora show up…
The problem is even if Sora thinks that she is awesome the way she is she doesn't think so. And he hasn't exactly done anything to prove to her or make her feel awesome either so i really don't get why you think he is so far ahead of Keigo. Telling her she is awesome and that she doesn't have to prove herself to anyone is nice yes but saying it and convincing her of it is totally different.
You said he took her to meet his sister because he wants her to shine not through the fake external shine that a beauty paegant focuses on but so what? Was that nice of him yes but really didn't help her any to feel more confident about herself or love herself anymore. That was made clear by the fact that even after he took her to meet his sister and told her that she was more than good enough. she still stood on the roof with Yuri and said that she didn't deserve to like anyone or fall in love and didn't believe anyone would like her asking herself why anyone liked her. So did Sora really make her feel and believe that she was awesome and good enough? clearly not. He did nice things for her yes, which i appreciate but if he hasn't made her believe in herself and have confidence in herself then he really hasn't helped her.
You said Keigo was too pushy this episode and yes he was if she doesn't want to do the paegant then he shouldn't try to force her. But he's not a bad guy he is trying to help in his own way is it wrong? maybe but he truly cares for her. She did tell him that being in the paegant had always been her dream and he just wants her to fulfill that dream. And also by trying to convince her to do it, it is his way of telling her that she is good enough and she is beautiful. Further proof that he cares for Manaha is when he saw the video of her and Sora he smiled and said they looked happy, even though he has feelings for Manaha he just wants her to be happy. He also thinks she is awesome the way she is and that she is good enough just like Sora they just have different ways of showing it.
Spoiler: Keigo knows how she feels because he was bullied when he was younger which is revealed in episode 5. He like Manaha didn't like himself or have confidence in himself. That's why he had plastic surgery not just to improve his face as you said but to stop the bullies who thought he was ugly and not good enough. And the whole are you mesmerized by me thing, is it annoying? yes does it make him sound conceited? yes but that is his way of coping and trying to give himself confidence and helping him believe in himself and that he is good enough. He also is pushing her about the paegant because he thinks it will help her have more confidence because it helped him. He's not trying to be mean he just isn't realizing that they are not the same what worked for him and gave him confidence may not work for her. He needs to find a way that will help her become more confident.
No offense but you are judging Keigo and say you don't like him because of his behaviors without fully understanding his character. I get that you haven't seen past episode 4 so that's why you don't really understand his character. But his behaviors is to help give himself more confidence and help him believe in himself. Yes his behavior is arrogant and cocky lots of times but as someone who has struggled with self confidence myself i understand and know that you do whatever and tell yourself whatever you have to, whatever it takes to help you believe in yourself and have more confidence. That is what Keigo is doing even though other's may not like it and find it annoying it's his way of helping himself. It's people that judge other's and bully others that give them no self confidence in the first place.
Also from experience i can say that even if someone else thinks you are good enough it doesn't really matter unless you believe it yourself. If you don't have confidence in yourself even if someone else tells you that you are enough you won't believe it. You will think they are just trying to be nice and that they don't really mean it. So it doesn't matter how many nice things Sora does for her or how many times he tells her she is good enough unless he can make her believe it herself then it really doesn't make a difference. And so far neither Sora or Keigo have made her believe in herself or have confidence. It will be interesting to see which one of them will finally be able to make her believe.
Not really the main couple basically just peck on the check the second couple have lip kisses. But even without…
There are kiss scenes with the second couple just not the main couple. I don't get how you think it will be boring with the storyline because the whole storyline is that he can't kiss because it will make his heart rate go up which is dangerous and could possibly kill him.
In the description of the story it clearly says he can't exercise. have strong emotions or do anything that will raise his heart rate too high because it could end his life prematurely. So he tries to avoid anything that will raise his heart rate or cause him to have strong emotions. He is taking a big risk even getting close to her because when she just gets near him or touches him his heart rate goes up extremely high causing his mechanical heart to have glitches and malfunction.
Spoiler: When his heart rate gets too high the mechanical heart malfunctions and puts off electricity shocking anyone near him and destroying anything that is near him. When the heart puts off the electricity it is very dangerous it causes him to pass out and his heart to stop for a bit. The electricity causes the heart to reboot but if the heart takes too long to reboot when it starts working again and he wakes up he could have brain hypoxia or worse maybe not wake up at all. Were the writers supposed to kill him off with a kiss just so some people wouldn't find it boring? The whole series the scientists are trying to fix all the problems and glitches with his heart so he can live normally and do things like kiss and everything that normal people can do without it risking his life.
If you find it boring that is your opinion which you are entitled too, but if you feel that way without even watching it then maybe this series isn't for you. I personally thought it was an interesting story, something i've never seen before. Unlike a lot of series which have the same plot and storyline this one is different. But i understand it's not for everyone, some people will like it and some won't. Maybe you will find a series that suits you better.
He was drawn to her at first because she is the only person he can get close to and touch and that can touch him.…
You're welcome! And they never say for sure his age but i'm pretty sure he is 30. Because the accident in the first episode he was in university and they tell later on he was in his first year of university when the accident happened. So being in the first year of university he would be 19 or 20 years old. But he had a girlfriend at the time and it told that she was 20 so i assume he was 20 as well. And the accident was 10 years earlier so that would make him 30. Plus his best friend Xu Cheng Ran they tell in one episode that he is 30 and they were the same year in university so probably the same age. She is 23 at the beginning of the series but in episode 18 she has a birthday and turns 24. So Gu Chaun is about 6 years older than her.
