Had fun during the first half. Didn't need the unnecessary ex-fiance. Even the break up was dumb. I didn't get it. Both Ji hyuk and his ex made it clear they were no longer engaged so I don't understand why Ji Won broke up with him. Frankly, I keep hoping Kdrama producers will realize that 16 episodes are too many for the stories they want to tell.

Totally agree with your review. I abandoned it after watching all the women throw themselves in an undignified fashion at the men, but FL crashing ML's engagement was the last straw for me. And while I don't have a problem with him falling for a girl with his sister's face, I kept waiting for at least one person to point out how weird it was in-universe.

Tell me about it. I was screaming at why any self respecting drug cartel would invent and distribute a drug that almost immediately kills their customers. Drugs need to get the customers coming back for more over an extended period of time. The whole "antidote" thing is also dumb as again, this is a one time proposition. It would've made more sense if they were selling this as a strength enhancer to criminal organisations, terrorists, sportsmen, etc.

Oh well. It was entertaining at times. I really don't understand why so much time was spent on the mother's near constant glamour shots. Overdone. That time could've been spent building up Nam Soon's relationship with her love interest. We needed to feel their relationship developing or bringing gradual change in each other. But they fell in love and stayed exactly who they were at the beginning of the show. Angst can be overdone but, damn it, we need some angst in order to be invested. Even her relationship with the villain was dumb. That could've been a super important part of her own personal development but, no. It was nothing. The problem, I think, was too many characters with too many separate plotlines which were entirely unnecessary and, worse, had zero impact on character or the development of the main plot.

"Embroiled"? Is she married? Why is this even news unless one of them is married? Good lord!
