La Mante (The Mantis) is a French criminal thriller tv series, and JCW mentioned in an interview that he was done (at least for a while) w roles like those. I imagine he didnāt want to be boxed in those type of roles, which I personally think he shines very well, but itās his decision at least for now. I think he can choose whatever. Imo more often than not š lately they havenāt been thaaaaat great but not unwatchable like a few others that I found myself dropping.
I enjoyed very much K2, Suspicious Partner, If you wish upon me. I havenāt seen The worst of Evil but seems like very well done.
So it was extended from 15 to 17 eps⦠I havenāt seen anything with subs beyond ep8 only raw, is it worth it adding 2 more eps? For what I read here a lot of ppl is frustrated w the storyline. Any thoughts?
Ok it's my fist time watching a Thai drama....are all these red flags acceptable? Lol it's i don't even know where…
Lakorns can be very entertaining in general, some are very funny and other very melodramatic. Iāve found that the red flags are acceptable depending on the audience. The lakorn world characterizes on over the top drama and angst (which is what many of us find attractive), and lots of violence, like the slapping, argument, insults, fights, etc. I read on a short article that the more the slapping the higher the rating. I donāt remember where I read it, but it was right after many were criticizing Mia Jum Pen (Wife on Duty). So when I go into watching a lakorn I expect all these. The red flag I canāt accept is when there is sexual abuse and extreme violence towards women and romanticizing it. For example: Rape is thrown very often as a casual thing, chaining a woman, kidnapping a woman, pushing her and pinning her to establish dominance, etc. The best example imo is Sawan Biang (2008). This lakorn pushed it too much for me that I felt disgusted (like even my stomach hurt and felt nauseous). Figure out what you are looking for or your tolerance then do your homework and research before watching a lakorn.
Ji Woong is supposed to be Choi Woong's best friend but is "too busy" to go to his gallery.Yeon Su is supposed…
Up to this point, sheās being by herself, in addition sheās always trying not to be a burden to him, so if he is having the last day of his show Iāll probably think like her I wonāt call him and ruin his last night, not to mention that when you are in the middle of such crisis, the ONLY person left to you, Iām sure that calling someone to let know you wonāt make it is not on the top to do. You barely have a full mind to think. Still, she called him.
The irony (and Iām not being facetious) is that all this controversy has made me research Korean history. I already knew quiet a bit but itās making me look for more in details of this specific time. I am aware that the drama is fictional so it is making me wanting to know what really happened. So I think that there is some positive that can come out from this.
I like how you rate men and women. A man at 29? Just a kid. A woman at 36? Wow, someone shoot that damn cougar.…
Yup! You might be surpirised! They call me cougar to my husband of just 2 1/2 yrs youngeršššš itās ridiculous and uncalled for⦠I didnāt even thought about their āage differenceā I am looking forward to this one, specially if might be able to see JHās fatherly side. š

Sorry itās so long! Still, hope it helps.
