The ending just shows that they're happy to see each other again. Birdy got married and the other ML is single. It seems as if they're just friends who are reminising over hor much they loved each other.
They've both missed their timing. The movie is trying to show how many couples society has ripped apart with its judgement. Not everyone gets a happy ending, and these two won't either. They'll keep on living with their memories of each other. But I don't think they'll start anything romantic.

I love the plot...its really unique for a BL and I can sense some chemistry, esp in the bts but not as much as everyone else is saying.

Honestly, the production of this show seems really nice, I wish other BLs felt like this! I'm 30 minutes in and going "this can't be as depressing as the summary says" but I know I'm gonna eat my words.
